to my mind this is the world of art I grew up hating..expensive, upper class twats buying for status and investment... yawnnnn ... now look at that on the streets thats real art for the people

Sotheby's Art Auctions β’ LONDON π¬π§, by Macdeee on Jun 22, 2007 15:26:42 GMT 1, Monkeys Β£120k and it had two large scratches / rub marks accros it! Still I would have loved any of them I still love the rat which i think went for not a bad price comparied to the pics
I noticed alot of the andipa gallery pieces were scratched and damaged too. Too much money for a damaged piece of art I reckon.

I dont think you can call someone that buys a picture for say Β£500 and sells it on for Β£100,000 a Moron I guess you can say the buyer that pays Β£100,000 for it a Moron, but only up until the day they sell it on for Β£1Million ;D

Sotheby's Art Auctions β’ LONDON π¬π§, by Pure Evil on Jun 22, 2007 17:36:55 GMT 1, Its all down to Al Qaida....
After the bombing of the twin towers Morgan Stanley Dean Witter had told a lot of its customers that their financial records had been lost in the bombing.. which was A LIE. The records were not lost. SO as a result they pocketed a lot of money it should have paid out to its customers... they made out like bandits basically, and the customers were very understanding because NOBODY wants to create a fuss, they understood that it was a 9/11 thing...
Since then Morgan Stanley Dean Witter empoyees and other similiar banks have been making HUMUMGOUS bonuses.... and they've been buying lots of Banksys and so the price for Banksys has rocketed..
hows that for a cool conspiracy theory ?

great idea! and if they throw a Banksy tag on there all the fat cats will think there stylin. ;D
on the front of the shirt it could say, "I paid a $1,000,000 for a crappy picture and all I got was this lousy t-shirt"
on the back it would just say, "I'M A MORON"
