Not really. Just interested in the technique. Is that a problem?

Sotheby's Art Auctions β’ LONDON π¬π§, by dave313perry on Feb 28, 2008 19:22:29 GMT 1, if its screened it could have been pulled by anyone, if its hand sprayed then thats usually by the artist - so IMO it can and does make a massive difference to its value

Sotheby's Art Auctions β’ LONDON π¬π§, by afroken on Feb 28, 2008 19:28:52 GMT 1, Doesn't seem to have harmed Warhol's prices!
Much like Warhol, screen printing is central to Faile's work (it's what they do), so whilst I agree with you in most instances, I don't think it's the case here.

Sotheby's Art Auctions β’ LONDON π¬π§, by rkitek on Feb 28, 2008 20:05:04 GMT 1, My understanding is that Faile has stenciled alot fewer pieces than screen printed. If that's the case, the stenciled work should be more valuable.

Anything really. Just wondering what all the hubub was about.
Never really paid too much attention to it but I guess I do prefer the stenciled look.
Do you think its possible that the box was listed as 2 pieces because they consider it 2 pieces with an image on the front and back? Seems strange to me that they wouldn't show the other side of the boxes otherwise.

Warhol did a lot less water colour work. Doesn't make it more valuable.
They are screen printers. It's what they do best and it's the work they'll be remembered for, if at all. That's just my opinion of course. I'm not really wild about their stencil work. so guess I'm biased

Sotheby's Art Auctions β’ LONDON π¬π§, by rkitek on Feb 28, 2008 23:35:29 GMT 1, I completely understand. Of course, I'm probably biased as I have an original stencil from them that's on paper dating from 2005. Mind you, it's also on top of an older screenprint and is painted too.

Sotheby's Art Auctions β’ LONDON π¬π§, by pezlow on Feb 22, 2008 15:53:06 GMT 1, Just come back from a lunchtime viewing trip. I was there for an hour and a half but could have been there all day. I would highly recommend a trip. Apart from the banksys and failes there is loads and loads to see. The three andy warhol self portrait canvasses are simply amazing.
