Yeah, disappointing results for such a class A auction house. But it means, as LJ said, this is the new standard. Am pretty certain we are going to find a lot of prints on the market now that prices have stabilized. People are going to want to cash out

Hmmm.... interesting. Some good results, some bad ones and some puzzling ones. I wonder what Game Changer next week will do to the market?

I'm not sure whats going on with the final lot price as it would suggest they have only added on approx 25% to the hammer price? Shouldn't it be approx 35%? For instance, Donut hammered at 80k, but shows as a total price of £100,800.

They only add Buyers Premium to the hammer price online - VAT and ARR will be added on when they invoice.

The price shown will be Hammer plus premium which at Sotheby's is 26%. They do not show the ARR or the VAT in the these figures.

Good to see two top tier auction houses have similar sales with differing ways of selling.. one with ridiculously low estimates hoping to pull people in ( Sotheby's) and one with realistic estimates and start amounts ..

Lets see if the higher starting prices at Christies makes any difference...

Interesting averages. Looks like unsigned averaged £64k and signed £127k

Based on prices shown which still need adjust for VAT and ARR, I think.
