Sotheby's Art Auctions โข LONDON ๐ฌ๐ง, by coller on Sept 18, 2020 16:39:56 GMT 1, i want banksy to crash the market. i'd rather be able to get more banksy art than be able to sell my current banksy art for a windfall. this chicanery must come to an end. Didn't you say you were rich enough to buy at these prices? i wouldn't pay 40k+ for an unsigned damaged print from any artist living or dead.
not for me, regardless of if i have the funds.
this seems like a super rich person's game now. takes a lot of the fun out of it, and it's definitely changing the culture of the forum.
i posted think tank process pictures a few days ago and no one even commented. everyone too busy posting the latest auction results.

Itโs long long gone , but then I remember being bitter about not being able to afford a flag on release ... this place and real life are very far removed from one another.

I did appreciate the posters and I downloaded the pictures on my Banksy file (so that I can look at them any time I wish since I ll never have enough money to ever buy one). I m just a bit shy and don't post much ๐

It's awful in fact. i mostly agree, but like to view it from a glass half full standpoint, especially re: GDP.
the GDP terms stated that banksy was trying to get the items into the hands of lower income families.
seems like banksy found a great way to reward lower income art fans and provide them with a much-needed windfall in case an emergency comes up (or if they would simply like to better their life).
that story of the NHS worker selling her GWRB and getting what appeared to be half a million quid was great.
