So what’s the deal with Sales Threads? Are they to sell stuff, or to allow the peanut gallery snarky jollies?

To be fair, as a buyer I’d like to be alerted to a cheaper price if there were one. And, as a seller, I’d like to know if my prices were on or off. If all parties are ok to continue having known all the facts, then no dramas.

Really depends on what peanut gallery snarky jollies are really.

If you think pointing out that something is available cheaper elsewhere is bad form on a FORUM then that’s up to you. You’ve been here long enough to know that your hot air ain’t going to make a jot of difference.

True, but the constant who can snark first on sales threads is a bit yesterday’s meme, and against the spirit of this place. Which is why the core here has changed dramatically over the last 3-4 years. I prefer to think a buyer would be a bit more astute in their shopping knowledge, buying certain artists’ prints well after the fact generally not an impulse purchase. I also would think most sellers have an awareness of pricing, would not want to embarrass themselves and want to sell.

I guess what I’m saying is buyers and sellers should know their market. Threads with high prices tend to fall quickly to the sound of crickets.

And the constant snark is juvenile.

Agreed re negativity.

On the flip side though I like that this forum still calls people out for flipping or overpricing and highlights correct prices for buyers/sellers. It’s tough to keep up with all sales prices at all times so I like the wealth of information in this place.

Anyway, we’ve derailed this poor blokes sales thread so let’s let him get back to offloading those eines

I sold all my letters the minute I realised the plan was three of each letter making 78 prints all on different sized paper.

There is only 1 set with matching edition numbers (of course 150 in theory if they would have been sold all as set). So this makes it more rare than a set of APs.

If you are good in using Google, Verso Gallery has 3 "E"s at $1530 (I think matching number?)

I hope this explains the price.

Therefore I don't think it's nice to publicly reply with "smart-ass" comments, implying that I have overblown the price, without doing a more detailed research and as a first reply. 

This can affect badly anybody's sale. If you are not happy of the price or don't like the item, just don't say anything. This is a sale post, not Facebook or Nextdoor.

This is a forum, where members discuss and comment. EBay doesn’t have that facility.
Members tend to shout if they think things are too high and of course too low.

Members are allowed to sell but members are also allowed to comment on prices, etc. Agree it doesn’t need to be smart ass comments, but we are all big boys and girls so let’s not get offended if someone points out that a gallery is selling a set (AP or otherwise) for nearly 1/2 of what you’re asking. If either set is priced appropriately they will sell and if they’re not they won’t. Just my 2 cents. Carry on.
