Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by campfire headphase on Nov 22, 2019 14:54:05 GMT 1, Harland Miller also had zero sales. Two book set (blue and pink) and the large In the Shadows I Boogie Print did not sell. Pejac, Javier Calleja, Oli Epp, and for me Harland Miller, are artists to avoid paying extreme prices for; especially during a market downturn right now. Right now these are the artists you should be getting dirt cheap prices for. Anyone spending top dollars, at their shows right now, will not be happy with the results for a bit; but buy what you like people say on this site so do that... The Javier had only one bid, could be the owner, after fees the seller didn't make very much at all. I would almost have to a say the Javier's sale is even questionable. This auction was not a good sign for any of these artists. This was one auction, so maybe it's just a bad one/season or this is the beginning where we see overpriced and overhyped artists on UAA just get totally crushed by the actual art market outside this forum. I think the later will happen. I have notice a lot of the people, who really hyped these artists a few years ago, have already sold off these artists and used the money to buy more blue chip and safer artist to invest in.... You really need to be careful with the hype on this particular site.
I agree with you re: hype vs: reality. Many people think the UAA has influence or is an indicator of the market. Itโs a somewhat pompous self-reassurance exercise. Itโs an isolated environment wrought with users with multiple alias accounts talking up/down price, or people who donโt buy just bitching about the prices.

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by campfire headphase on Nov 22, 2019 14:57:58 GMT 1, so what artist do you think discussed on this forum will stand the test of time?
I think it depends on prints vs originals. Banksy prints crush prints by say, David Hockney. But David Hockney paintings will smash Banksy in auctions all day long.
I think Banksy prints will go through a correction. I think Kaws will go through a correction. Harland too. Once the interior designers and home decorators made him a popular painter for โdecorationโ, it was game over for him. Banksy paintings will continue to do well, Jonas Wood will continue to do well. Fairey will stay on the affordable plateau he has been on. Dran, Pejac... flavor of the week.

Good thing Paddle 8 isnโt a house with much exposure nor do they set a market. Their results are abysmal where as other houses offering similar and or identical material do much better. Once they got bought by auctionata, they went south.

Paddle8 come on Provenance from Castor Gallery should make them fine, as he did a show with them (assuming they were supposed to sell this piece/sketch). Peek-a-Boo does look a little odd though!
Not sure why there's none mentioned for the Birds piece though.

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by london on Feb 26, 2020 11:13:27 GMT 1, Hi guys,
Wanted some advice, I sold a print with Paddle 8 in December and was picked up and delivered to the buyer on January 14th. I was told I would receive my payment at the end of January. it didn't happened, after a number of emails, i got a response stating there had been an accounting error and i would receive payment on 11th feb, still no payment. After weeks of emails and no response, i get the standard response of we are working on it and should be soon.
what can I do?
Ive sold with paddle 8 since they first started 5 / 6 years ago and the service as got so bad in the last 2 years. they seem to be lying to me about payment and seems like they could be in administration and trying to stall all payments to consigners.
alan Zang - www.instagram.com/choo___/ who took the work from me, seems to be deleting all my instagram comments, yet keeps posting other pictures and boosting about his work with paddle8
I have told them, that i will use my bot to bid on all current auctions and sabotage all listing. It seems to of got a response from them, telling me not to do that and they are working on my payment.
is anyone on here having sommelier issues with them?

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by pada1 on Feb 26, 2020 12:23:36 GMT 1, Donโt threaten them, youโre putting yourself on the wrong side. The post that you just posted online should be enough to start bad publicity for them. They should come back to you soon so you post here that everything has been fixed.
I would be careful with auction houses nowadays. Especially the one with very little capital or cash flows. Economy is slowing down: companies have less income but still the same expenses.

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by Poster Bob on Feb 26, 2020 12:33:32 GMT 1, The bot threat was poorly thought out. If you're American that you run afoul of economic terrorism laws.
Persistence and polite wording are key. A properly-worded thread here coupled with sending them a link could have been a sufficient motivator for them to pay ASAP without burning bridges.

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by Lunch Special on Feb 26, 2020 13:04:00 GMT 1, Taylor is the dudeโs name. Go on linkedin go on Facebook go on Instagram and go on twitter ranting and tag other auction houses. Public perception and company image are integral parts to the companyโs integrity and especially an auction house which is built off the publicโs trust.
I do it all the time when Iโm experiencing issues with employees who think they own the company and all I want is to conduct my business and keep it moving.

They have a history of not paying and administration and I think they may go under again.
I hope it wasnโt a lot of money.
