My speculation is there is one run of 1000 (500 + 500) and all 1000 are being made by hand all at once.

The mats are handmade by refugees that have to be trained. Furthermore, there are not that many making them, so supply should be naturally limited by production capacity.

If they didn't start manufacturing until after orders were taken and they're due for shipping anytime now I'd guess they're currently making approx 5 a day. For a craft product, made by folk and a business who have other things to be concerned about, allocation of time and resources is probably appropriate.
Fwiw I can't see these being made until there's no demand any more. The company will want to build its own identity & expand its range.

True and regardless of whether they continue making these Banksy mats the partnership has been a massive win for their business and brand. I never would have known about them and spent hundreds of dollars on cushions without the Banksy association.

Exactly my thoughts. Only way they will stop making them is when demand stops or Banksy puts a stop on them and I can't see Banksy doing that when there is money coming in for a good cause.
