Sold out! Was always going to go quick this one. This is a great print (best to date IMO), nice big size and will command a wall. Wasn't keen on it being a giclee but i also have the Kwarme print and the quality of that print is great!

Yup. That was the worst print quality I've ever seen. Screen or giclee.

This one should be good though. I have quite a few "archival pigments"/giclees and they really can be done very well. I used to get hung up on the print type, but not as much anymore.

Agree.  Type really just doesn't matter.  Quality does.  (Though all other things being equal I would prefer a screenprint.)

Im sorry its not facile. you're missing my point. This type of print is literally a photograph of an original oil painting that gets printed. I'm not referring to his craftsman ship put into the painting but the lazy effort of printmaking. For me.....if im spending anything more the 600$ on a "print" i want actual printmaking techniques involved. Spitbite Aquatint, high number screenprinting, wood cut, mono prints, Pochoir and another handful of techniques applied and used by the artist & printer partnership. A concept and a piece specifically created with the medium in mind. Pace Prints in NYC and Mixografia in LA are two of the best in the world. You can still pick up a lesser Ed Ruscha print for 3K in some auctions. i'll buy that before i buy 1 of 75 inkjet prints, of a photo, of a painting. But whatever... to each their own. I like the artist and the image is fine, as a 80 inch painting is really cool. I've been collecting for a long time and have a POV about current day artist cranking out meaningless work with huge price tags.

An absolute statement focusing only on the medium sounds facile to me and respectfully, I think you may be missing my point. I mention the Kagan MOCA vs the Fridriks Avant prints because it's an example of a poorly executed screenprint vs. a very well executed inkjet. I understand what you're saying about artist involvement and all of the intricate processes you describe are of course more desirable if well executed, but the quality of the result is not solely dependent on the printing technique.

Avant Arte sold out with his Concorde print at €3500k (screen I know).
Here you got a nice image of his post popular topic. It would be hard to justify larger price difference without Concorde buyers feeling that they possibly paid a little bit too much (which they might have).

I bought Concorde and passed on this one. The quality of the Concorde screenprint in person is unbelievable and I don’t regret that purchase.. I just don’t think they could reproduce the quality of that print here.
