Stinks of us and them to me. Having very young twins changes the way I buy things, art and holidays... it doesn’t change how I feel about being a diehard Banksy fan... However I much I understand where your sentiment comes from. I wasn’t able to get over there either but I would think those that did do deserve the reward you and I can buy a coffee mug

I think the print is a nod to the Ferris Wheel that Basquiat designed for Andre Heller's amusement park/art museum Luna Luna which inspired Dismaland and the use of the crowns is ironic as they act as a visual cliche identifying Basquiat. Excuse the quality of the photos taken from the book

I had my back to the ferris wheel and didn't even notice it! Simply for that reason, I want a print to remind me to always look behind me!

It's still nice to have even if you don't speak German, because the art works by artists like Sonia Delaunay, Dali, Haring, Hockney, Joseph Beuys, Kenny Scharf and Lichtenstein are rarely seen (by me at least) and I don't believe the foundation that bought the entire project from Heller including all the art, ever exhibited it. |

I like this, I didn’t hear of it happening. Pretty ingenious method of securing a souvenir for yourself. Did he try flipping it? As long as it didn’t ruin the piece in the street then I think fair game tbh.
