BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by acaipride on Aug 13, 2020 22:58:11 GMT 1, the problem is that the framers recommended here, upon anonymous inquiries with them have given answers that have left me baffled in their knowledge. Most say conservation foam is archival, when tests thave shown that any foam is gaseous over time. Some don't know about the mylar film layer for humidity, some do not know the diff. between 3m 850 vs 3m 853 tape...and these are the framers that people recommend on here.
do the due diligence and speak with an archival specialist at your MOMA.

If your in the uk theres only 2-3 people really 100% trusted to frame banksy artwork. One in darbyshires and another specialist is mark pfg242 on instagram. Do not take them anywhere else.
the other is mfm but i have not had the best experience after something fell off the wall after they framed it. but they do collect.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by avec art on Aug 13, 2020 23:30:41 GMT 1, I agree there doesn't seem to be too many framers up to speed with how to handle and frame high quality prints etc. I used to use Leonard Villa on the Caledonian road, and they always did a good job for me. I found out about them from Laz who would use them.

The framing devil sucks ass!!! Would never use him again! Guy needs to talk less and pay closer attention to his work.

If you are in Northern California, then consider Sterling Art Services. WOOF turned me onto them. They are legit. Not cheap, but you knew that already. I’m guessing this piece will cost well over $2500 to frame. In the US, for whatever reason, the Optium acrylic alone will cost $1500 ish.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by FЯ on Aug 14, 2020 12:52:00 GMT 1, Hey, what kind of mounts would you prefer. I ´ve read multiple times about not using any adhesives. What else needs to be considered while getting a piece framed. Sorry if this question was already answered before, but I dont want to read all 470 pages. Maybe you should to get some knowledge on the subject before framing an expensive artwork.

I think the instructions that came with the Thrower spell it all out - UV glass/acrylic; conservation framing techniques that should all be reversible; and don’t place it/them over a heat source like a radiator/fire. If you tell us where you’re based I’m sure someone will be able to recommend a framer for you.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by reg on Aug 14, 2020 13:46:17 GMT 1, Well done and congratulations to all those successful in the competition.
You are now probably realising that as well as securing a wonderful piece of art it is also now a burden. Rest assured that burden will be a source of constant worry over the coming years. It starts with framing then insurance then COA then whether and at what point to sell or even what to do with it once you die. Is it OK on the wall? Is it too hot / cold / moist?
Yes, basically you have been blessed with a child which you perhaps didn't appreciate would be quite so needy and burdensome.
Whatever else, enjoy the ride.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Deleted on Aug 14, 2020 15:29:15 GMT 1, i think this will cost at least $5k to frame correctly I think your framer's been taking you for a ride. Either that or you've been framing your prints in gold infused ivory again! That being said I'm sure a few framers may put a 'Banksy Tax' on these if they know their likely value. I'd hazard these will be closer to £1500-£2000 to get framed properly. Will be interesting to find out either way.
edit* Just realised I have no idea about framing costs on the other side of the Atlantic so maybe $5k is a reasonable estimate for over there?

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gross-Domestic-Product-Brown-Coat-Open-All-Hours-Banksy-Shop-Assistant-Staff/383425455820?hash=item5945f026cc:g:tL8AAOSwBF5eSo3X
the description is hilarious...
Banksy Gross Domestic Product Brown Coat. Dispatched with Royal Mail Signed For® 2nd Class. Delivery may be upto 10 days to asses buyers and demand. Did you get anything from the grossdomesticproduct shop ? Well here is an opportunity to own one of the same brown coats as chosen by Banksy for the staff at the shop to wear in Croydon. The coats are the exact same ones that the staff wore in October, Banksy has 7 of these, staff did not keep them. Please feel free to check any internet photos of the staff at the shop to confirm they are the same. I know they are the same as I saw the tag inside Banksy's ones. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ALL TAGS WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE COAT YOU RECIEVE. SORRY about this but I think that Banksy's plans were not for his ideas or creations to become common knowledge, this way only Banksy and the buyers of my ones know we have the same, a bit more exclusive and special. Other people may have the brown coat but don't know if it is the same or not. I Lee Guarantee that the brown coats I'm selling are the same as Banksy's GrossDomesticProduct ones as worn by the staff. Please don't ask for more pictures as I want to protect the identity of the coat. Those that have been patient are now recieving Banksy's GrossDomesticProduct art, this will look great with any banksy work, I personally was dancing on new years eve with one of these brown coats on and a met Ball police riot helmet, No one except Banksy himself could have done that, and I doubt he would have wore them on new year's anyway. I had a great new years eve, very surreal. One of the pictures shows the boxes with 7 brown coats, ties and hats from shop staff( writing on box is Banksy's). All other photos of the staff are available online. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, for those of you who know me and my link to GDP shop sorry I took so long but was waiting for people to start getting things from GDP before I started to list things, more coming soon, Thank you very much for looking regards Lee. Lastly please add message on checkout stating Size you require S,M,L
