I ordered another piece that was much more expensive, but I never received it. Toowee, the owner, has blocked me from everything. I know there isn't much I can do now that it has been almost a year since this incident, but I wanted to see if anyone else on the forum experienced this. It is upsetting because I have had repeat purchases from the gallery and it seems that Ben Frost also got the short end of this stick at this show. It really is hard to lose a grand on a piece you'll never receive. It has also made it really hard for me to trust galleries again to purchase more art.

Never got a response and finally after 6 months, contested the credit card bill, it was well over a thousand dollars, and got the money credited back to my account. His work has been very well received at Art Basel, last year his show had the most buzz of all the artists at Art Basel, Aqua:
Thank you for your interest in the upcoming Ben Frost exhibition βRetail Therapyβ at SCOPE Miami Beach December 5 -10. We have received hundreds of requests for the preview. There will be over 100 new original works from Ben and two print releases. To try and make this as smooth as possible, please read the details:
Β· We will be releasing half of the work for the exhibition on our website on Thursday morning, November 30th at 8:00am Central Time.
Β· The other half of the exhibition will be available exclusively at SCOPE Miami Beach. Any remaining work released at SCOPE not sold the first few days will be added to the collectorβs preview link on Thursday December 7th at 8:00am Central Time.
Β· Artwork purchased can be picked up at SCOPE Miami Beach (December 5 - 10), at Vertical Gallery in Chicago (after December 18), or can be shipped (after December 18th when work returns back to Chicago from Miami). If you want to pick-up at gallery or in Miami, please select βpick-up at galleryβ under shipping options and tell us in the notes if you will pick-up in Chicago or Miami.
Β· Shipping charges:

He had over 100 pieces and his art resonated with the Art Basel crowd. The show officially opened today and everything was sold yesterday. The Vertical Gallery space that hosted Ben at Scope had the most interest and sometimes became very crowded.

same concern for me as well, ben frost do have some pg13 editions from time to time...
i was able to pick up et go home from ben frost directly at a great price.
