I grabbed the water color they are using on Instagram - the one of Fly Boy sitting on a ledge with the cityscape in the background. There were a few for sale that night that I would've loved to have grabbed, but I was light on funds (Flyboy collage and Flyboy in the sling).
You grab anything??

Hebru Brantley πΊπΈ FlyBoy β’ Lil Mama β’ New Print Release , by dreadnatty on Sept 29, 2015 4:34:37 GMT 1, 'Flyboy' cartoon draws attention to artist at Eastern Market
Hebru Brantley is at the center of attention.
Dressed down in jeans, a black hoodie and crisp sneakers, the 6-foot-8 Chicago-based mixed-media artist stands in front of his mural at Eastern Market on a busy Saturday afternoon, prepping one of the most anticipated creations of a new street art festival.
Heβs in town for Murals in the Market, a nine-day event that illuminates the talent of more than 45 local and international artists. Put together by Eastern Market Corp., Inner State Gallery and 1xRUN, the team strives to make Eastern Market more vibrant by painting dozens of murals throughout the area.
Nestled on the corner of Russell and Adelaide, Brantleyβs piece is starting to take form. Despite guiding a lift into place, greeting fans, high-fiving colleagues and discussing his artwork β all at once β the 34-year-old remains cool; the fact that heβs got yet another interview in 30 minutes at Inner State Gallery doesnβt stress him one bit.
His style β pop art with a modern twist and hints of Japanese anime β has caught the attention of everyone from Lebron James to Lenny Kravitz to Jay Z, who dropped $20,000 on a custom piece at Art Basel in Miami.
With an extra busy day at the market β Saturday always brings hundreds of shoppers β the lift heβll be painting from is just now making its way over to Brantleyβs wall, unable to navigate the streets earlier due to traffic and pedestrians.
βThere you go, now turn it back β¦ alright, buddy, you got this!β Brantley shouts over the beeping lift, directing the operator on moving the lift to the sidewalk. Without so much as a single breath, he shifts his focus back to the mural. βIβm going to start painting as soon as Iβm back from Inner State (Gallery),β he promises.
By Wednesday, his promise is fulfilled: Brantley has transformed a half-sketched out mural into a lively and colorful creation. While he usually sticks to spray paint, the artist often tackles other mediums such as oil, acrylic and water color, even venturing into those as abstract as coffee and tea.
βI'm a huge fan of Hebru,β says local artist Michelle Tanguay, who is also painting a mural in the market. βHe's an incredible storyteller β every painting has a narrative, and his characters are beautiful, relatable and grab your attention.β
On both Saturday and Wednesday, Brantleyβs mural is surrounded by curious onlookers. Theyβre checking out βFlyboy,β his trademark cartoon modeled after a Tuskegee airman. βI wanted to have an iteration of a pop culture character that was of African-American descent or color,β he says.
Flyboy wears a pair of yellow vintage aviator goggles, a green aviator helmet, and a monochromatic T-shirt, sometimes with a bandanna draped over the neck. βIβm piling them in a syncopated line where theyβre awaiting something,β Brantley explains, although itβs up to the audience to determine what the Flyboys are actually awaiting. βI donβt pretend to know what I want people to see; I think art is too subjective.β
Behind the Flyboy row is background line work representative of pop culture. Brantley plans to weave some Detroit history into the mix, too, starting with a Ford logo and a car. βTo have a representation of African-American history, and to have a narrative β¦ thatβs what carries over and allows the piece to live on a little longer,β he says. βItβs not just something for today.β
As an avid supporter of 1xRUN and Inner State Gallery, Brantley is no stranger to the Motor City; his wife is from here as well. This strong Detroit connection is what led to his collaboration with Murals in the Market.
βIβve been familiar with Hebruβs work for quite some time, and itβs always been very intriguing to me,β 1xRUN CEO Jesse Cory says. βHis work not only speaks to a traditional art audience but also bridges the gap to an African-American audience, and having art that reflects the community is critical.β

I have no opinion on what type of work this is, it doesn't matter, all sorts of work is discussed on this site, no one cares what type of work it is.
Expresso Beans is a good suggestion for further information. Let's not stifle members helping others with lame ass, passive aggressive questions.
Thanks
