Buying on Ebay , by wrigs on May 17, 2019 19:47:06 GMT 1, What’s everyone’s thoughts? Any tips suggestions?
Looking at something which is supposed to be a signed serigraph from Europe. Obviously won’t get to see it in person, give it a swerve?

Buying on Ebay , by That Print Guy on May 17, 2019 19:52:33 GMT 1, eBay has your back, buy with confidence. Check the sellers feedback. Look at the other things they sell. Make your judgement from there! PayPal has your back as well, so you're double protected

Buying on Ebay , by clueless on May 17, 2019 19:59:30 GMT 1, Nothing to worry about on eBay. If it is any different than the description, you'll get your money back.
Worst thing that can happen for a buyer is just a little disappointment due to item crushed during transit or having to ship back because the seller lied.

... be very careful with the description ... could it be interpreted in a different way than you think ... to favour the seller if you tried to return ...

Check the feedback and the description ...
Otherwise eBay has your back aswell as Paypal as a buyer (generally)
Probably safer than buying elsewhere if you do your homework...

Buying on Ebay , by moron on May 17, 2019 23:06:56 GMT 1, Check the sellers recent completed and sold items by ticking the box on the left side of the page. Sometimes it shows that items have been sold and re listed more than once, due to buyers not completing for some reason.

Indeed. "Soup Can print signed 'Warhol'" is very different to claiming that you have a signed Warhol print of a soup can.

Buying on Ebay , by John The Badgers on May 19, 2019 17:29:45 GMT 1, Only had good dealings on eBay, although not prolific. Always check the feedback, sounds obvious, but when you read through the comments, gives you a decent feel for the seller.
We sell via eBay at work, again not prolific, but always conscious that everything spot on, and the feedback important for ongoing business.
Again, perhaps obvious, but via eBay messages, get phone numbers/e-mail contact, and discuss that way again to get a feeling as to who you are dealing with?
All the best, hope it goes well.

Buying on Ebay , by John The Badgers on May 19, 2019 17:58:58 GMT 1, Good point Art Cave, the listing we have via work we are down as a business seller, so all company contact information there, so can trace e-mail phone numbers etc.
Apologies, not sure whether this piece listed as such.

Buying on Ebay , by chevyav53 on May 19, 2019 18:12:45 GMT 1, Agree with above..... I’d also look at what was sold recently vs what is being sold if a new seller..... if little items sold now some high ticket items and you are weary good reason, seen scammers get reviews up legitimately or artificially with low value items to later fleece people on high ticket ones. Also make sure not stock photos being used.

Buying on Ebay , by avec art on May 19, 2019 21:27:05 GMT 1, I've not used it for ages, but I remember for a while I could use gaps etc, but then I remember it changing so that even if you used the @ symbol anywhere it wouldn't allow the message to be sent. Just writing 'at' instead you'd still get blocked or when you type dot com, or dot co uk . But perhaps that only becomes enforced to people who've previously been flagged.
