In terms of turnover yes, the only peoople to gian from this will be children in Bangladesh and Gordon Brown. 17.5% VAT will be charged on the print, meaning £15,000 goes to the treasury. £85,000 is then taxable @ 40%, depending on how this is dealt with in accountancy terms there is the potential for all of the £85,000 to go to charity if for example gift aid is claimed. Occasionally the Treasury relents and makes good the VAT element of a charitable donation but only if the Daily Mail and the like gets on it's case. Unlikely here given that in the words of POW t shirt 'Hated by the Daily Mail'! I imagine £85,000 will buy a lot of eye operations. Well done Banksy, well done POW.
