Backdoor Banksy Prints, by avec art on Apr 1, 2015 22:41:47 GMT 1, I get that, and I agree I don't think anyone would go to the lengths required in order to entirely verify it was from a particular single run. I was just thinking along the lines of if it were really necessary. I'm a print maker so I know how slight distinguishing signature marks can betray information about a prints' origins. When authentication teams from the estate of a particular artist analyse a work, they really go to town on it, putting it through electron microscopes, measuring isotopes and chemical make up etc. But yes not saying anyone is going bother to do all that for a print with no signature or markings.

Backdoor Banksy Prints, by lha on Apr 1, 2015 23:04:43 GMT 1, A Pulp Fiction BD (or at least advertised as a BD) sold on the bay for £285 a few days ago. Even with a fairly solid email trail can't see these fetching the money they used to. Needless to say there are 'genuine' backdoors out there and folks on here own them. Great to frame and stick on the wall for those that know where they've come from which is rarer and rarer as these change hands Down the line Although the paper used to print these is now "out of print" these are clearly still being reproduced illegally. If you have purchased one, or are planning to purchase a "backdoor" print, you might as well buy some snake oil.
Don't have one and not planning on purchasing one

The yellow in this print is the same bright yellow as the one West Country Prince uses on his prints. The Yellow on the original is much lighter on every example Ive seen.

I do like my £525 trolley hunters on my kitchen wall though

And I do believe the guy that won it has put it straight back up for the princely sum of £1200! Same pictures as well, though I'm on my phone so could be wrong

Backdoor Banksy Prints, by achtungbono on Apr 11, 2015 15:34:38 GMT 1, I am torn over this. I recently (2014) obtained a J&J test colour print to go with my normal one. They look fantastic as a pair on the wall as I got it framed up the same as the bluey one, but I know I can never sell it and provide any sort of provenenace to a buyer. Its a keeper for me on that basis alone.

When a proof is real, it tends to go for thousands of pounds, not hundreds (i.e. the Napalm P/P with COA that went on ebay).

Backdoor Banksy Prints, by Deleted on Aug 27, 2015 11:32:38 GMT 1, I will not be able to afford a PC'd one the way things are going, so Im after a backdoor or two.
Just for decoration...
I have read the threads and know the pitfalls/ scams it seems.
Would prefer a trolleys or another larger multicoloured print.
please drop me a note- UK based

You won't get a legit backdoor trolleys only early prints, POW had sorted there shit out by then. The old backdoors were outsourced or when banksy was not a household name.
I would go WCP for £50 rather than take a chance on a fake backdoor

Backdoor Banksy Prints, by telecine on Aug 27, 2015 22:20:41 GMT 1, Back in the forum after not being well for a loooong time... Hello everyone..
Sorry Quinnster, but backdoor Trolleys DO exist! I have a colour one I picked up a few years ago. Have a real POW B&W one too and you couldn't put a cigarette paper between them detail wise...
Cue usual 'experts' spewing bollocks about all backdoors being fakes... There are loose prints of pretty much everything up to Nola (which was pulled in far more colourways then the same 'experts' know about...)
Right back to bed... ;-)
