Parcel force/ damaged tube, by HRE on Sept 29, 2018 7:41:19 GMT 1, Wanted a little help or advice. I recently send a tube with a print safely secured inside and it arrived damaged. Tube looked like it had be stamped on. It was insured and was sent via Parcelforce at royal mails outlet. I am of course going to claim or try and clam back the money. Has anyone had any experience with this and what was the outcome. Any tips on how best to achieve all the money back.

My understanding is that artwork is included when using Parcelforce within the U.K., but excluded when using (some of) their international services.
I recently queried this when sending something and wanted to check if it was worthwhile topping up the insurance to match the value. The reply mentioned the above, but also said that artwork would only be insured up to the price paid to acquire it, not necessarily the current value. Slightly vague.

Yeah just looked on the website says it is exempt from global express. This was sent within the UK so hopefully is ok.
Additional exclusions and restrictions when using the globalexpress service : The following items are excluded from compensation in the event of loss or damage when using the globalexpress service:
Artwork โ including any work created or developed by the application of skill, taste or creative talent for sale, display or collection. This includes without limitation items such as paintings, drawings, vases, tapestries, limited edition prints, fine art, statues, sculptures, collectorโs items, customised or personalised musical instruments or similar items Film โ or photographic images, including photographic negatives, photographic chromes and photographic slides

Parcel force/ damaged tube, by Deleted on Sept 29, 2018 10:00:49 GMT 1, I never realised this. If that is correct then what is one supposed to do when sending artworks abroad?
Does that also work in the opposite direction?
