I have debated framing this with a white mat starting at the image, thus covering the signature but giving a very clean look. Probably won't go for it, as it feels bad, but I think it might look very good. Think this print will fit a black frame very good.

Nice painting, a lot cheaper than his current works. Some might argue not as good as what he’s doing today, but that all depends on your tastes. Make me an offer.

Ryan Hewett's style has evolved quite a bit over the years.... I can see this being valuable to a collector

Also on Unit London’s IG page. I regretted not picking up his last one. I wasn’t sure how his texture / 3D style would translate to print but it came out great. I think I liked that image more than this one, but it’s still a stunner.

I paid > 750 GBP a few weeks after the release after skipping the release because I thought 500 GBP for a probably s**tty quality print wasn't worth it. After seeing a few pictures of the print I fell in love and bought it, and a few have been sold in the bay for 800-900GBP.

But somehow I don't really like this print...

Are there any information about pricing of this one?
Probably above 500 since all print releases are getting more expensive...

I actually liked the first one a lot. Thought it was a strong and striking piece. The more I look at this one the less I could see myself buying it. I don’t dislike it, it’s just kind of whatever.

This seems to happen a lot with artists I like. They always seem to pick the “worst” images for prints. Hewetts stuff is great and always happy to see a new edition being released but I Also wish it was a different image.

I don't think it is about print quality, I actually think there is no possible way to make a good looking print of painting styles such as Ryan Hewitt's, Emilio Villalba's, Antony Micallef and so on. It just makes no sense. The depth of their paint strokes is 80 % of their art and is not replicable however good you are at screen printing.
My humble opinion of course.

I realize this is perhaps a bit opportunistic, so please forgive me (happy to delete if you disagree). I have a couple of original Hewett charcoal studies pretty close to what these newer prints cost. Not really comparable to what he does today, but a nice piece of Hewett history none the less.

This may seem a little against the grain from reading some of these comments but I actually really like this one! The subject matter is a nod to his much older work. Feels like it has that zest of vintage Ryan but in this style which he has very much made his own. just my opinion!

I'm flattered that you might think that, maybe I should apply for a job at the unit! I don't think Ryan or the unit would trouble themselves overselling a couple of extra prints on an 'underground' forum.
I've been a big fan of Ryan Hewett for years and stumbled across this forum the other day and I wanted to say my piece. Seemed like there was a lot of negativity and thought the scales needed balancing.

Big jump in the number of prints 50 vs 150 - I wonder how the pricing will be positioned because of this?

Also - they are playing high risk with the timing, 4pm UK time and later  and a lot of people start travelling home from work......

Why not try and bring a bit of the artist hand to it and do a hand finished one to be more in keeping with his technique.
Shame and wasted opportunity imo

Way too many, he isn't established enough for these type of punchy edition sizes and prices. Unit risk leaving him hanging. It looks very flat anyway, definitely needs a smaller edition of 50, hand finished.

Could not agree more.  If this had been a different image and an edition of 25 or 50 hand finished I would think that people would be clamoring for this thing at $1k a pop.  Hell maybe even this same image, just a much smaller edition of hand finished prints would have created a buzz around this release.
