I am playing with the idea to getting mine re-framed -the existing frame is not right.

That was my first problem with it, then thinking about how muc I love my DSTQ against this, jus dont feel its worth keeping and give someone else the chance to love it as it should be.

I wish I could afford to Neil, I dont mind struggling through Christmas if the feeling was there, sadly, it just isnt. My DSTQ covers everything I need from this image


It was £1200 at cost btw.

Yeah its a funny old one which i must admit that i am starting to quite like pretty much in the same way i felt on the release of the pop tarts (and the reason for me sticking it in the basket, erring and then deciding not, then two weeks later thinking shit and then getting one later at a premium on ebay).

Can anyone who has one say what they love about it and also the negatives of it and if possible any close ups of the frame thingy etc.

Well when I found out what this piece was gonna be, I sold my DSTQ to fund it thinking it has got to be better. It is an amazing piece of work with my most favorite image ever, but it's not a replacement for DSTQ it's for those that have never owned one. Had I got this piece 3 months ago, I would have loved it. I have another DSTQ print now and it jus confirms for me, wot I have just said.

I may check a refund out as the buyers I've had are understanderbly worried about shipping. I dont think it should be taken apart to ship as I feel it would be unsafe for the print.
Still available if anyone wants it. It would be wrapped in bubblewrap like a pillow and sent via the safest courier service your willing to pay for.

I was offered £800 for it at one point. Im not needing the cash. Jus thought as I could live without it and offer it out to someone who missed out and all I got was piss takers and time wasters. Never mind! great image and I dont mind having this aswell as my DSTQ.

I think the problem is most people dont think the the print is worth £1200.

Maybe stick a line under your posts stating that you have it available at cost, sooner or later someone will want one and be willing to pay retail.

Phil.. If I had not already got one I would certainly take it off your hands at cost. Hold onto it until after Christmas and if you are still not sure stick it on Ebay. It will sell. Good luck mate.

I'm jealous.

In my opinion I think it's well worth the £1200 in comparison to other lenticulars I've seen. Went to an exhibition of photographic lenticulars by Michael Spencer Jones (Oasis) a few years back at Richard Goodall Gallery in Manchester and from memory they were way more expensive than the dface.

Until someone with the cash comes along stick it up on your wall somewhere where you can get the full lenticular effect and enjoy owning a really cool piece of art! Saw it on display at BRP last weekend and I only wish I could afford it. Even my girlfriend, who isn't a dface fan, thought it was cool.

i don't think the person who offered 800 was taking the piss, to be honest that is what it should be going for in a sane world

as you say, you don't need the money back so enjoy it until the right person comes along!
