People make a big fuss over banksy print condition but in years to come it simply won't matter. It's funny but any small crease etc seems to be a big problem. Nobody cares any more if Warhol prints are wavy or have a small border discolouration I'm sure

Makes sense, but was archival framing outside of museums really a thing back then though? I feel like nowadays is completely reasonable to expect previous owners to have taken great care of their art. (Not to say OP hasn't, a little border discoloration isn't a shocker at all on an almost 15 Year old print)

You're probably right.... there will be a decent premium for the a1 minty stuff in years to come though.

It is had that problem on a rat years ago that I bought cheap hoping could sort out but he couldn't. Would still buy this tho at the right price it's a beauty I'm sure it won't hang around long. Good luck with the sale 😀

UV damage cant be removed but you can cover the print and leave the edges exposed to UV
I would even buy it with a coffee cup stain! IMO keep it or take it to an auction house...
Someone said Warhol, well this one will be the equivalent of Campbell Soup or Marilyn in a near future.

A GWUJB release won't affect the value of an Original GWB. Might even boost it.

Not sure if you saw but 1 sold yesterday at Bonhams 22,000 (GBP 27,500 with Auction Prem) and Seller received around 20,000 after auction house took their pound of flesh.

Seem UAA is, as I thought, the best place to sell your works by Mr B.

Also this gwb was mixed up with such a load of tat and 'after' prints it's not surprising it got missed. Why have a £30k print next to stuff with estimates of £500? Same for the harland millers.

Perhaps it could have been managed better, but that is a big difference.  


The seller should definitely have used UAA, would have at least netted 25k - maybe more if some of the estimates on here are to believed (although I suspect there is some bias from owners).
