To me De Bruyne wins given his whole season and the amount of pre-assists he has and the dominant role he plays in their performance.
But it's like comparing Iniesta to Ronaldo, they have totally different roles in their teams so how to determine who is 'better'?

Egypt have been in world cup before, also played England in 1990.

England beat Egypt 1-0 and every other game in the group was a draw. Republic of Ireland went through after drawing lots with Holland.

De Bruyne is a wonderful player in a great team, but Salah has been astonishing, and phenomenally consistent across the season. If you need to pick out a single player in a team sport to win an individual award, you go for the guy with 40 goals. Leroy Sané will surely win the young player of the season awards, which looks like another easy decision.
