I own a back door Flying Copper bought directly from one of the guys @ Mission in Bham. Longer standing members with probably remember Backdoor Brummie. It's the right paper (although very slightly mis-sized due to poor trimming) - the ink/ print detailing compares favourably with Legit versions - however I know there's no chance of a COA or any major £££ uplift in value. Didn't buy it for that reason - just because I loved the image and would never have been able to afford the going rate on a COA one at the time of purchase.....

Mission were the screen printers in bham before pow started doing them in house weren’t they?

Correct. I think the increasing number of back door prints being siphoned off on the side by some of the Mission staff ended the relationship. POW took the process in house - easier to control, but there are still plenty of POW back doors floating around too.....

The people who bought it for 500 quid would never have imagined how painful it would be to see it unsold for £20k.

There was one at Tate yesterday that only received a bid of £15k. Crazy to see these are being valued lower than a lot of unsigned prints these days.

It didn’t receive any bids it was just bounced off the wall it’s a auctioneers tactic to try get it up near reserve so if there is a bidder they hook them in on the reserve price

Overall I thought a few bits went ok in this market

Yeah, I for one wouldn't go near that. There are hundreds out there with no issues. Fading is not for me. But each to their own

With prints unless they stored flat and never been in frame or seen the light of day that above seems pretty standard assessment when looked at in close detail for something that’s been in a frame on a wall for a number of years

As for selling second hand cars you got no worries there I generally hand them back for the main agents to sell for me while I choose my new one

No they jsut sent out an email when i said that offering both of these, guessing these exact ones, for sale. Either OP consigned to them, or they saw this post and are trying to sell them.

Well, to be honest he looks like a nice guy. But definitely not like someone that I would like to hang out with.
