Banksy Soup Can (Coloured) Print, by classy on Feb 27, 2008 17:07:33 GMT 1, Has anyone ever seen a coloured soup can where the signature and the stamp are both on the right?
This thread states that all of them were signed on the right but stamped on the left:
banksyforum.proboards82.com/index.cgi?board=colouredsoupcan&action=display&thread=1138359251
And I have recently been offered one that is signed and stamped on the right. I also know that some fakes of this print were acknowledged by POW some months ago and it is making me extra cautious.
I thought one of the more knowledgable members of the board could set my mind at ease or confirm my suspicions. Any help you can provide is much appreciated, either here or via PM. Many thanks.

I wouldnt take everything in that section as gospel, there have been alot of variation in stamping and signing that are not covered in the section ( it can work well as a guide, but not a definitive)

Banksy Soup Can (Coloured) Print, by leumasdarnley on Feb 27, 2008 17:12:34 GMT 1, I think with many of the prints stamps were found on both sides so I wouldn't consider this a huge red flag. Verify the prov with POW that will confirm or deny your fears.

Yes, I have contacted POW of course. I just expect it will take some time for Dora to sort through the records and I thought if someone here had seen this before it would be enough for me until I hear back. You are probably right though they will tell me for sure.

Banksy Soup Can (Coloured) Print, by Heavyconsumer on Feb 28, 2008 0:38:23 GMT 1, There's only one way to be certain: That is to meet the seller at POW. Even if all the COA checks out, this can be duplicated, as another poster found to his horror recently with a "have a nice day". If you don't want to take any risks at all, take it in. Otherwise whatever checks you do, just bare in mind that nothing will be a 100% guarantee.

Banksy Soup Can (Coloured) Print, by crazyarsemother on Feb 12, 2007 21:22:50 GMT 1, Have put one of my Coloured Soup Cans on ebay. Its in mint condition and looks fantastic. If anyone has any questions then please contact me.
cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=002&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=120085511153&rd=1&rd=1
Its a strange feeling to be selling 'sort after' Banksy prints. Nearly 10 years a go I spent my summer evenings wandering the Bristol streets seeking his graffiti out, then boring my mates about how he was 'different'. A lots changed since then. Sometimes I think this site can be obsessed with his POW prints. Like his work is expensive Panini football stickers. Probably just showing my age. Anyway looks talking.
Good luck bidding if anyone goes for it.

Banksy Soup Can (Coloured) Print, by crazyarsemother on Feb 6, 2007 13:34:22 GMT 1, Hi all,
I have two coloured soup cans and I think I my need to sell them. In fact I'm in denial. I need to sell them.
They are No.10/10 Yellow, Emerald, Sky Blue and No. 9/10 Yellow, Blue and Tan.
Thoughts on worth? I know that there is the Sotherbys auction over the next couple of days.
If anone wants to make an offer then please PM me but I am interest in what people think they are worth. I am selling these to try and save the rest of my collection as I eeek my way through art college.
Answers on a postcard.

Banksy Soup Can (Coloured) Print, by tomhills1 on Feb 6, 2007 15:19:20 GMT 1, i would say around £3500 each. you must have some good work in reserve to be able to sacrifice those 2 by the way. "as I eeek my way through art college" don't you mean smoke!

Banksy Soup Can (Coloured) Print, by dwight on Feb 6, 2007 19:09:34 GMT 1, 3500 seems a little high to me. I would guess somewhere a little lower in the 2700 range from what I've seen on the bay over the past months... But that's only if you sell over ebay, there are other art houses that seek prints..

Banksy Soup Can (Coloured) Print, by tomhills1 on Feb 6, 2007 19:19:12 GMT 1, i've looked at some history on ebay (undeleted watch items) and there was a green/yellow one that went for £2660 (i think). i've just deleted the listing so i can't give you the item number, sorry. there have been a couple of the edition of 25 since christmas, and i only remember seeing the one coloured one. not the most helpful i know but i would have thought on a good day you would break £3000. perhaps £3500 is very optimistic. good luck anyway with it, must be a bit of a heartbreaker having to let them go but i suppose needs must and all that.

Usually, art houses and galleries pay less than a private buyer as they need to be able to mark-up the print 50-100% at a minimum. Private buyer will usually get you the most money but galleries and art houses usually don't screw around. Quick cash if you need it.

Banksy Soup Can (Coloured) Print, by corblimeylimey on Feb 7, 2007 21:01:58 GMT 1, You could try contacting ebay user dazsw18 (who bought the one mentioned above) he's bought tons of Banksy's recently (even muliples of the same print) just a thought, although you'd need to be careful working outside the ebay protected area.

Banksy Soup Can (Coloured) Print, by corblimeylimey on Feb 18, 2007 20:56:05 GMT 1, Blimey, IMHO I think it's a crap image in crap colours, I guess people love the fact there's only ten of them.
If that's worth that much then how much does that make a Kate colourway worth?

Banksy Soup Can (Coloured) Print, by tadghostal on Feb 18, 2007 21:05:25 GMT 1, Couldn't agree more. Don't quite understand why so many artists continue to put out their own variation on the soup can theme.

Then again, I find Warhol to be dull as watching paint dry.

Banksy Soup Can (Coloured) Print, by tomhills1 on Feb 18, 2007 21:08:53 GMT 1, i suppose in some ways it's a more rare image than CWS and even kids on guns, albeit a canvas there are 25. i agree though, CWS etc are striking and limited hence top whack prices. soupcan is pretty lame and the wrong side of six grand (the right side for crazyarsemother) is f*ckin scary. how much have kate's sold for recently? i know there are a load of unique proofs yeah? 12 maybe? and then how many in the run? what did they sell for originally? this should be a new thread shouldn't it.
