Banksy Applause Print, by jboy on Apr 20, 2007 23:54:58 GMT 1, I said exactly the same thing to someone earlier. I honestly did not know these books were originally for charity, i did not find that out until this morning. But if the intended use for this book was to make money for good causes, then perhaps they should stop flogging them at £5 and set up charity auctions on ebay instead. Sorry if this auction has caused any offense and i will pop a few notes into a charity box when i see one if it makes everyone happy!

Hey jboy, fair enough mate ! a nice gesture.. like you said, not really your fault someone forked out 170 quid.. jeez, you can buy first edition classics for that... anyone with enough cash to fork out 170 quid on a book ain't gonna miss it too much I guess.. but nice of some were diverted to warchild.

Peace

You said your description was "in no way untrue", I've just pointed out the untruths (lies)
"You snooze you lose" in what way have I lost by not buying your misdescribed overpriced booklet?

Book was created for Andipa gallery not banksy, it was created for a secondary market sale and has nothing to do with Laz or Banksy. It was not a private exhibition its was open to the public.
want me to go on ?

The fact you've come on here to try and justify it is a disgrace in itself. If you had any morals your listing wouldn't have been the complete lie it was. It's people like you who give ebay a bad name.

Banksy Applause Print, by lrworld on Jul 6, 2007 18:04:55 GMT 1, Can someone please clarify the Applause editions for me. Were 500 unsigned prints released from both POW and LA? For a total of 1000?
Does this apply to Grannies too? For instance, are there 150 signed Grannies from POW and 150 Grannies from LA for 300 total?
Thanks!

Banksy Applause Print, by corblimeylimey on Jul 6, 2007 18:17:48 GMT 1, 500 unsigned altogether plus 150 signed.
of the 500 unsigned, 400 have a POW stamp and were sold direct from POW, the other 100 were sold at the LA show and are unstamped and differ in appearance slightly by being darker.
The same applys to Grannies except the appearance is uniform.

Banksy Applause Print, by corblimeylimey on Jul 6, 2007 18:22:00 GMT 1, As for numbering the unsigned that sold at LA are roughly in the 50-150 so the POW editions are roughly in the number 1-49 and then 151-500 range.
There were no Signed available from LA so all the Signed prints have the POW stamp (except PP's and possibly APs)

Banksy Applause Print, by corblimeylimey on Jul 6, 2007 18:36:48 GMT 1, There is a slight change for Morons in that the 100 that were sold at LA had a gold frame around the painting with the words "I don't believe you morons buy this shit" and that all the extra 300 signed sepia prints came from POW.
Also the future release of Trolley Hunters from POW will have more colour in it than the 100 sold in LA, although it's not clear if they'll be an extra edition like the sepia morons were.

Banksy Applause Print, by corblimeylimey on Jul 6, 2007 18:40:53 GMT 1, I'm not sure about values, I guess they're the same, but bear in mind if you're in the UK and buying an LA print from the US you'll end up paying VAT and Duty on import so sometimes they can go cheaper if they're being sold from the US.

Banksy Applause Print, by jhayes94108 on Apr 23, 2007 17:09:35 GMT 1, I am trying to decide which Banksy I want to buy next. I can only afford an unsigned piece. Should I buy an Applause or a Toxic Mary? Which of these two prints will do you all prefer? Which will be a better long term investment? And of course, which will be more of a "classic"?
