Would you buy a DOLK with out COA or Provenance , by sotiriou on Oct 25, 2017 14:20:39 GMT 1, Hi Guys
I'm just after a bit of advise, I've not purchased a DOLK before and I'm looking to buy my first one. All my other prints that I have, I've bought with COAs or Provenance.
I recently nearly purchased "I am your father" but pulled out because the guy didn't have any provenance or COA. He said that he bought it years ago and didn't have any paper work with it. Is there a way to authenticate this? Is it likely to be legit?

Would you buy a DOLK with out COA or Provenance , by Phear Loathing on Oct 27, 2017 6:50:38 GMT 1, Here weee no COAs for Dolk prints.
Honestly, I have a stack of old dolks and could provide probably no paperwork for any of them.
I highly doubt anyone is out there forging dolks; especially considering the drop in value.

For £10 you coukd do a name change. If your man bought the print from source then you could verify it even with no paper trail potentially. Hmp was the outfit who released all his work. If memory serves me right stood for hand made prints. Start by shooting them an email.

Do your homework(paper, watermarks, look at close-up pictures, ask questions on forums, check databases for run sizes, see if you are lucky and publisher does keep buyer records, etc.) and if it doesn't feel right, odds are things aren't right.
On this one, you have a resource: www.handmadeposters.com/authentication

Would you buy a DOLK with out COA or Provenance , by Roman Emperor on Oct 29, 2017 20:50:33 GMT 1, Last year I bought a Dolk's print and followed the procedure as described on their site. After a few weeks I received an email confirming I was registered as the new owner.

Would you buy a DOLK with out COA or Provenance , by hmp on Nov 22, 2017 18:14:45 GMT 1, Hi guys. We have not officially informed about this, but works bought from Handmadeposters can be authenticated at eigd.no. Once an artwork has been registered, it can be transfered to a new owner by entering the email address for the new owner. We charge £20 to register the artwork for the first time, after that it can be transfered to new owners for free. When you register an artwork you will get a username and password, and be able to log in and view a list of your registered items.
If an artwork is registered at eigd.no, it has been authenticated by handmadeposters or the artist.

I have been using HMP itself to record and transfer ownership over the years. Do I need to do it both places?
