100% agree with the sentiment, but speaking as someone (I know I’m not alone here) who sold (6!) prints in 2011 for peanuts (to get me and a family member out of a jam) , even though later there was regret watching the prices go mental, at the time I know I was fortunate to be able to have had this Art>Cash option.

Also doesn’t mean you can’t own another one in thr future when your situation improves?
Fortunately as prices for some unsigned pieces are now reaching a point whereby you don’t need a flash job in the city to afford them, I’m currently trying to buy back a few of the works I sold , so things can turn around.

PS: Still looking for early unsigned Rats etc so please DM me if UK based and selling , thanks

As you I sold for peanuts in the same years, some pieces of street-art ( Banksy and Invader lp and prints , rare tats now etc etc )
But I won’t buy it again : otherwise we don’t advance. 
But I regret oh yes, so when someone calls me a flipper because I sold some books of Invader bought down my home, I jump out my sit !
I loved so much all my art. It was good prices to buy so in this period, many low prices, but I sold them 4 or 5 years later for 5 pints of lager, and I’m still thirsty ( as now they are very asked ! When you are a real collector it’s not the high prices ( not at this moment unfortunately) that counts, but to own a rarity that mostly all the collector ‘s world would like to get. As said Hannibal Lecter in the Silence of the Lambs : «  they covet ».

edit : I just bought again ( and I think that I bought the same that I sold 10 years ago, yes I recognize it ) the vinyl «  God Save Marcel Duchamp » aka National

Hate Art Anthem , vinyl 6-inch by Silent Revolt Cover art by Jamie Reid , and  signed by Childish, Cauty and Jamie Reid. 
Mine was not numbered as the one that I sold but signed and accompanied by a letter of the boss of L13 ( that confirmed me that it was a good one, not a fake. Was a bit messy then ahaha )

That what I said for my singles ( ska punk ) bought in London from 78 to 80, but it happened ! I swore to don’t sell my badges too , but I sold some too… Life is complicated sometimes

Sorry to spoil your sale thread. It’s badges from the late seventies ( punk after punk ska etc etc ).. As Gang of 4, Mekons, Human League, Siouxsie etc etc

The vintage ones yes, between 10 to 20 £ .. Even more..
