What happened to the 100's if refunds due to an oversell? Don't know why some feel the need to spread silly rumours like that.

Invader runs a tight ship, website didn't crash, no oversell so no refunds (although lots of frustrated buyers) all in all a successful release, no wonder he released this himself.

As far as Invader prints go, this one would be near the top of my list (obviously behind Scream/Hypnosis and a few others, but I think it is an extremely strong Invader print).

I'm also curious why Invader stopped the "invaders invading other images" theme that he pursued in Scream/Hypnosis - I feel like that would be an ideal theme to pursue re: print releases in particular, but he's the artist!

Anyway, congrats to everyone who managed to get one! Hope to see some framed pics soon!

they're popular bc they look good on a wall imo - a lot of invader pieces are hard to hang unless you own a lot of other invaders. that was a problem for me w/ warning invader in particular.

that's one of the reasons why i like RVE; seems like you could hang it alongside most other non-invader prints.

Unlikely it will hit £5k considering there's another on eBay with a £4.8k buy it now... but then again, who knows

The usual rule is original price x 2 or 2.5? This went almost for 5 times the original price right afther relaease. That is a fucking good result!

Agree. The fact that they were woodcuts was kind of interestingand made them fun, and the imagery was something a bit different from invaders and rubik stuff.

They are cool, mainly because they are quirky within his body of work, but thankfully he did not make it a continuous theme to invade other masterpieces.

On the contrary I'm suprised it went as high as 4x cost. That's a massive uplift after one week. Most sought after releases can still be picked up for about 2.5 cost straight away.

I expect the price to fall a bit when more of these are in hand. I'm sure many will be swayed with a potential £3k profit for doing sweet f.a, and hence with more on ebay at the same time buyers will have a greater supply and we will get a true idea of the value of this print is.

Obviously when these all fall into collections the price will readjust but for those saying this a 5k print, or this is a 8k print, I think that's nonsense. The invaders actually going for that much are his older works, long out of the flippers hands.

I don't think multiples of cost plays any relevance here, or on any release that sells out instantly. If a Banksy dropped tomorrow for 500 quid and people were paying 20k the next day, would anyone really bat an eye?

That's just inflation.  Little different than what went on here.  I don't think anyone bought Invader 3-4 years ago expecting to flip years later.  The problem though is the dynamic now.  This is a community.  We help and support each other.  I really don't have a problem with flipping but do it on Ebay.  A lot of people here got screwed out of a print by a guy trying to make a quick buck...then a day later same guy comes back and tries to sell it for 4-5x the price?  I get why people would be upset.

IF I tried to flip like that, I'd go to ebay.  Wouldn't even have the heart to do it here. 

Wrong. I was always buying Invader 10 years+ ago with the idea one "flipping" one day. Always thought he would be collectable and so I spent any spare (Little) money I had buying and enjoying prints. I always felt it was an investment I always told friends to buy Banksy/Invader. None did... But it was an investment which I could enjoy on my wall or in art file. But it was always an investment. It just took 10 years to pay off. Now if Micallef could hurry along please.

I'd say there are better investments over 10 years.
