If you buy something for 1200 euros and know it’s probably worth 5000 pounds or so that same day, then of course that’s a huge factor in things.

It’s a very basic print of some space invaders. That pretty much covers it for me.

Yes, will look good on a wall depending on what the rest of the room looks like, but it’s far from his best work surely?

If you have the means and are that way inclined to buy secondary, I’d look to something else. Just my opinion.

And yes I tried like many others. Carted multiple times but wouldn’t get past the address. Would have been looking to trade for something at a later date.

For example Adam Neate red and white portraits, for this nonsense. Yes please. Invader prices are absurd.

No problem with you expressing an opinion, even if it were one that I disagree with; freedom of speech, as is anyone's right of reply.
I agree with much of what you say. I have no doubt whatsoever that there are people on this forum who are motivated by profit, that hype artists (or talk them down) out of self interest, etc. But there are also a lot of decent sorts too. I have a pet hate of generalisations, which tarnish the decent chaps with the same brush as the ne'er do wells, 'tis all. All is good.

504 Badgateway + Cart troubleshooting + cancellations = website kinda crashed nope? I don't think that many people were actually trying to cop that 1200€ print in fact. Nothing compared to a Supreme drop, Yeezy, Kaws x Jordan, etc. I still believe there could be a easier/faster way to checkout.

I've never been a massive fan of his work although I have started to appreciate Invader more over the past year or so (maybe hype driven?). When the print was announced I thought it looked awesome. I was very excited indeed to have a shot a getting one at a reasonable price. After Barclays mugged me off and I missed out, I still think it's a beautiful print, just not as beautiful. And I'm not excited anymore.

I'm afraid I have no idea. I will bring the pic to my framers but he usually frames the artworks for some local exhibitions and I have no doubt he will have the clues to make this one look even more impressive.

Don't forget about the other Invader print that was signed at Laz looming. For an artist elusive for a bit on releases, he has had this print, another print, and a new kit released within what could be a month or two.

When I tried (and failed) to get the print yesterday it was a pleasant surprise that I had auto login set up already, so good to go. Still never got it though.

I will probably float it as well, although what do people think about matting a piece like this? Think it could look nice with a white mat and a black bevel.  It looks like only the bottom edge of the print is deckled.

You dont always need to matt or float. There are other options.

i favour edge to edge framing...

there is a large BTC event on august 1 when they may hard-fork the BTC blockchain, essentially splitting it into two currencies - it is predicted to severely affect all altcoins including Ethereum. I'd look into it and plan accordingly (although it's hard to tell if the effect will be a hard negative or a positive on altcoins).

...Really could not afford this print at the moment, but as I do not yet own an Invader piece, I tried my darnest to get one..... after 20 minutes of refreshing and actually carting one on two seperate occasions with no success, I had feeling that was similar to an 'E' comedown, no fecking lie.....

I sat on the edge of the sofa, wide eyed, teeth slightly clattering, tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth with that dreadful feeling of helpless anger mixed with shameless self-pity and a loathing for all things Invader....! 

......Hahaha  Genuinly gutted that I did'nt manage to grab one! 

......Great print, well done to all who got one and to augustg for letting everyone know about the drop!

How does that work, are the frame mouldings acid free (and the paint harmless) or do you use some sort of very thin distance/protection?

Edge to edge framing can be very effective and is often great as it means you do not need to hinge on the reverse. However if it's something you want to do make sure you go to a decent framer, I've seen some absolutely shocking things happen to sheets of paper that have been edge framed, including staples shot through the extreme edges of the sheet, and pressure marks from the backboard pressing against the sheet and the spacers.
