Rowdy π¬π§ Crocodile Graffiti β’ Bristol Street Artist, by Tower Art Gallery on Nov 11, 2012 18:40:55 GMT 1, The Get Rowdy opening night was fantastic fun and lived up to its name in full.
We have now added the first wave of Rowdy's new artworks to our site. We have started with his 3D pieces (gallery print edition soon to follow). My favorite of his 3D works are the C C Crocodile TVs...

The pricing in general looks pretty good, especially considering that Nelly Duff are charging Β£180, or 60%, more for their same sized Rowdy tiles.

Rowdy π¬π§ Crocodile Graffiti β’ Bristol Street Artist, by Feral Things on Jun 2, 2013 19:27:44 GMT 1, I thought it'd be useful to start a thread about all things Rowdy related.
He's got an exhibition with Sweet Toof running from 21 June to 21 July 2013 at The Looking Glass (Next to St Nicβs Market) 39-40 High Street, Bristol, BS1 2AW. It's called Sweet Summer Solstice and at the launch party there will be' Crocktail, Sweet Toof Punch, DJs, Performance Art and Short Films.'
There's further details here and the blurb reads as follows:
βBy hook or by crook these two artistic scoundrels return to the nautical city of Bristol, to make further waves. Sweet Toofβs work captures the spirit of a bygone era; Rembrandt meets Tim Burton with a touch of Ealing Comedy. Rowdy attempts to straddle the ancient and modern with his infamous Crocodiles snapping away at Neon Cityscapes and corporate landscapes.
The pair are arguably two of the longest players in the UK graffiti scene. However their work stretches beyond into contemporary galleries. Providing a sociological experiment of laughing in the face of death on many walls around the world. Their art typifies the pagan spirit of celebrating life and death simultaneously.β
Also, Sacked... has already posted it in the Video Of The Day thread, but for anyone who missed it here is Rowdy's recent animation:

Rowdy π¬π§ Crocodile Graffiti β’ Bristol Street Artist, by Feral Things on Jun 20, 2013 15:24:32 GMT 1, is there a list of available works? I am curious about the sweet toof stuff... I've asked whether there is a buyer's catalogue and will let you know if I get a response. Failing that, I'll be taking a load of photos when I check out the show and I'll try and pick up a price list for you.

Rowdy π¬π§ Crocodile Graffiti β’ Bristol Street Artist, by Feral Things on Jun 21, 2013 21:36:05 GMT 1, I've just come back from the opening night and I'd highly recommend it for any Burning Candy fans or anyone who likes an interesting show. It's in a former oak-paneled pub and the lighting is solely from candles and lamps which wouldn't have looked out of place in a 1930's bordello. On the plus side this gave the whole show a fantastic atmosphere and made it far more interesting than your usual white-washed and spot-lit gallery but on the minus side it means that my s**tty cameraphone photography is even s**tter than usual. So apologies for the quality of the following photographs but I would definitely recommend seeing the show in person.
Yes, the crocodile in the foreground is a cake. No, I didn't get to eat any. Yes, I am sulking like a toddler at a fourth birthday party as a result.
There were loads of videos playing including Rowdy and Sweet Toof's segments from the Dots film. There was also a honky-tonk piano player and Sweet Toof punch.
Rowdy's pieces were mostly his crocodiles and this style of cityscapes, so unfortunately there weren't any of his abstract landscapes which I love.
I thought the piece on the left was the pick of the show; a fantastic mix of conservative, religious vanitas and glittery, pink gummed fun.
sakyamuni - I never did get a copy of a buyer's catalogue, so I'll PM you a link to the photos of all the Sweet Toof pieces I got.

Rowdy π¬π§ Crocodile Graffiti β’ Bristol Street Artist, by Feral Things on Jun 21, 2013 23:56:13 GMT 1, OK, I should say from the outset that the photos are pretty poor quality. But for anyone know does want a gander, I've uploaded them here. Where there's an * after the price it means I can't remember the exact price (sorry, too many ciders) and the price is just an approximation of what I remember.
If anyone wants more details about a particular piece then let me know as I'll be passing the venue fairly regularly.

A yarn store? Whats that then?

But it's a place where knitters can get together and knit and stuff.

I hope it's a clickingly good success.
