Rowdy π¬π§ Crocodile Graffiti β’ Bristol Street Artist, by Scraffer on Nov 25, 2010 15:14:12 GMT 1, New print out today by Burning Candy legend, Rowdy.
Signed Edition of only 39.
50 x 70cm
Only Β£65
Available here: www.stealfromwork.org/Rowdy/Neon-Nitelife/
From the mailout:
"Many of you will know that Rowdy's house/studio burnt down earlier in the year with the loss of literally everything he owned. This, understandably, hit him hard, and we ran an auction (The Rooftop Burner Fund) for him to help him get back on his feet. During that auction Rowdy sent us an email thanking us and saying that because of the terrific response to the auction he was start making art again, and he sent us two drawings he'd done to illustrate this. We instantly fell in love with the drawings and knew something had to be done with them. So we turned them both into screen prints, the first 'Boxing Fox' was given away as a thank you to all the artists who had donated to the auction and the second we though just had to be Rowdy's comeback release.
So... back on track and making killer work after his studio burnt to the ground, Rowdy returns with this vibrant three colour screen print. Printed by Bristol's infamous Screen One screen printers and limited to only 39, Neon Nitelife features a marauding gang of classic Rowdy characters stalking the city streets at night."

Rowdy π¬π§ Crocodile Graffiti β’ Bristol Street Artist, by Steal From Work on Nov 25, 2010 15:26:10 GMT 1, Yep, just made them live. It's a really strong print taken from an original drawing, really vibrant and totally captures Rowdy's style. We're chuffed to bits with it (in fact I'm waiting to get mine back from the framers).
Some words from the man himself:
'Once I got back on it after the fire, working on paper seemed to be a very practical low tech way of producing work whilst I was wandering round Europe, often working out the back of a van, sometimes up a mountain, on a cliff edge or in a quarry. As a result my new pieces have taken on a transient quality, for example, what may have started on a rooftop in Barcelona could then only be completed at a gatecrashed artist residency near Turin.'

Rowdy π¬π§ Crocodile Graffiti β’ Bristol Street Artist, by Tower Art Gallery on Nov 2, 2012 16:51:59 GMT 1, Tower Art Gallery are pleased to announce, 'Get Rowdy', the first Newcastle solo show by the infamous UK artist. Known best for his trademark crocodiles, Rowdy has always used graffiti as a tool of resistance, since becoming an integral part of the Bristol graffiti scene in 1987. In recent years, he has become a key member of Burning Candy. A crew whose sustained outdoor painting campaign, has left a strong impression on many a surface, throughout the UK and beyond.
Having recently recovered from a fire that claimed both his home and studio, the artist has become more meditative in approach. This is realised in his series of abstract cityscape paintings. These will be displayed alongside other new works, combining an accomplished series of paintings, with his ever playful and unique take on urban living and landscape.
Tower Art Gallery aim to promote the work of credible and established artists, that we feel deserve exposure as key figures in this ever evolving art-form . Following the success of our previous exhibition with Petro, we are glad to open our floor once again to such a reputable artist. We invite you to join us to celebrate the opening night of 'Get Rowdy' on Thursday, November 8th, from 7pm - 10pm.

Rowdy π¬π§ Crocodile Graffiti β’ Bristol Street Artist, by Tower Art Gallery on Nov 6, 2012 10:52:26 GMT 1, Here are some nice snaps of Rowdy having his way with our tower. It was a stunning November evening and a cold night. The ice on the sloping roof was a nice touch. I was not not looking forward to talking to our landlord in the morning.
