The timer was expired and it said look for it in an achieve sale. Guess just another way they try to deceive us to rush and buy.

Why are you wasting your time stirring the pot with a guy trying to give people the heads up about shady practices? At least I try to contribute in a positive way.

So in other words they are offering an archive product for Original Price- Keep watching it will only go up from here.   In all fairness I'm a little biased on this piece since I bought the original.  

It's for a piece that was not good enough to sell out when first offered for sale. They then try to trick people into buying. Take a look at how many it says are available, then have a look again on the next sale. I bought a print once because it said there was only one left and I had about 9 minutes to buy it so didn't want to miss it - then an hour later another one was up and it turns out even with 40%off it was still more expensive than when they had no sale on.
Most countries make these practices illegal and for good reason.

The point is the edition didn't sell out a fortnight ago at $65.

Now they're drip feeding that same edition back onto the mkt at an inflated price of $110 whilst offering a discount that takes it to a dollar over original cost price.

Ergo, it's a rigged mkt, designed to stimulate demand for something that didn't shift a few days' ago for cheaper.

Really? No they don't necessarily increase in price - they just put another up again saying that there is only one left again with a count down timer to put pressure on the buyer.

Have always appreciated his work cause it's so original and different than what others are doing. Picked up a set of ten HP matchbooks cause if you've ever been out on the town and ended up really drunk then you know what I'm saying when I say I can relate to each of these.

They're really cute - tempted but as always with things like this - how do you display them? Stack them on a shelf to gather dust or cram them into frames. I loved the Faile Blocks but the cost of actually assembling enough to be worthwhile (as opposed to a dust magnet that gets lost under clutter) always made me change my mind. I could stack them but the new kitten cat would eat or knock them everywhere.

Put these out as Limited Edition postcards I'd have them in seconds - but it could just be I haven't worked out what you do with 3D objects this small. That and late one night someone would use them to spark up.

I was thinking of simply putting them in foam to hold them in place in two rows, 5 on top 5 on bottom and then just frame the piece of foam with a box frame. I'll post a pic when I get it done. Good thing is these are an open edition so no rush in grabbing them right now.

I think the match books would display well in a clear perspex box in a horizontal row.

Love this guys work... I think he has a very sharp sense of humour... Just for the record, they were all $50 a piece from his shop... (£37.40p) If i didn't already own them i would want to buy them..

By cost I meant including shipping et al, I should have specified that. But in my defence I did say ‘I think that is less than source cost’.

Well this is embarasing

Can I assure the forum that this was not a deliberate misrepresentation of facts. But no more than a statement made without fact checking.

I’ve reconsidered my position on the price and can assure you all that £300 plus postage and fees will buy the 4 prints as originally advertised.

This is not evidence of misrepresentation, but I just have that price stuck in my head now. I now don’t think that I’d be happy to let them go for less and removing them from sale may appear childish.
