I'd imagine they'll release the issue size like they did with the Ai Weiwei

That said I bought one on the first day order no. circa 3100 and one on the last day order no. 4300ish

So that's roughly 1200 orders.... it obviously doesn't take into consideration multiples but I'd be surprised if it's a huge edition size

Just received mine … on the back there is a sticker which appears to have a handwritten number 1939 /3000. So assume edition is 3000 ?
Not sure how to add a photo onto a thread unfortunately so can’t show ! Have a good Saturday … the poster looks great in my view

The actual number sold would've probably been just under 3000 so they've just rounded the print run up to that figure. Might explain why they extended the selling time slightly. Keeps things nice and neat, I suppose.

I guess the fact they’re individually numbered from an edition makes them the cheapest limited edition Hockney out there.

I have a feeling people on here are telling porkies. You're right, Hockney doesn't have an Instagram account. He also isn't based in UK (where the posters were printed/packaged).

If he'd taken the trouble to hand number 3000 posters (which, let's face it, anyone could do), surely he would have also signed them.

I very much doubt he numbered 3,000 posters but either way mine arrived this morning and I’m happy with it.

The certificate was much better with the Ai Weiwei though.

Think you missed the point of it being an unsigned poster if you 'expected' the greatest living artist to sign them for a hundred quid.
Nice touch he numbered them, we'll see from his writing.
