I bought one of the repro Rude Coppers to give as a gift, and when comparing it to my real one found the following:
It's different size - bigger than the original.
The paper is totally different - the repro has speckled paper that looks almost cream in colour, whereas the original is white paper.
The image is nowhere near as "crisp" as the original.
But it will make a long time admirer a very happy man, so should serve it's purpose nicely.

I am very happy the the monkey and the rude copper that I got but the QV i got was rubbish and not crisp at all with many of the smaller black parts spreading into one another due to poor screening of the black ink.

These early prints are based on the first stencils and the sprayed over dots are part of the design. You see this in most of the early prints, like Laugh now and Barcode.
These are spot on copies ! The paper is also exactly the same, if not better.
Looking forward to buying more.

Well my dots etc are twice as large as they should be which to me indicates poor screening on my copy. I think had mine been part of the real run it would have been binned or visited the back door.

ยฃ50 from a local framers. If you pass a frame shop it's worth popping in to see what they have lying around. If they get in work to reframe, the owner doesn't want the frame back so the framer sticks it in a corner of the shop hoping to get a few quid for it.
It's worth carrying around the dimensions of any unframed prints you own, just in case you see something at a fraction of the cost of getting one made.
