I also had a Queen Vic and it is not very good possibly due to either a poor scan or screen printing of the black ink.
I did get a laugh now and a rude copper and they are both excellent.

Art Wanted, by PUD on Aug 16, 2011 14:08:41 GMT 1, I'm curious when the first one of those get flipped sure he won't finish the edition of 500 for all those images.
Made me smile, but to be honest there is something in this! If somehow he gets clobbered on a copyright issue (which would be ironic) or he sells his 'edition' out, how long before they are being sold for double or more the purchase price?? After all, ยฃ4k for an original or ยฃ250 for an (almost) exact replica!!!!!
Stranger things have happened!

Art Wanted, by rockhopper on Aug 17, 2011 14:45:36 GMT 1, OK i decided to buy a Laugh Now, thought you might be interested in my thoughts; Firstly i do not have a genuine Laugh Now to do a side by side comparison, so this is just working from memory. Overal quality is very good, there is no pixilation of the image, and the overspray round the monkeys eyes is very well reproduced. The colours also appear acurate, at least to my eye. The paper is very good quality, but i dont think it is an exact match to the original. The reproductions have a definate black fleck in the paper, i beleave the original had more of a green shade. The size of the paper is correct, but i think the image is very slighty undersize as the drips at the bottom of the image do not actually run off the sheet, they end approx 2mm short. One final point, i'm not sure the black ink is as dence as the original, as it is quite noticeable where the black ink is laying over the brown around the edge of the monkey. Also quite alot of trapping has been applied around the image (probably to aid registration). Overall i'm very pleased, would happilly hang this on my wall, and if Happy Chopper or Christ with Shopping Bags was produced in the same way i would buy again!

Art Wanted, by PUD on Aug 17, 2011 15:57:33 GMT 1, I see you too Jon PUD have a pair. Not bad eh? My Laugh Now is a gift to me and my Rude Copper can go to my brother. Thinking now whether to get the rapping rat and Winston turf head.
I have to admit to buying a Laugh Now and Rude Copper
I bought them out of curiosity more than anything as I didnt beleive they could be that good, I have to say that putting the paper aside the quality of the 'reproduction' took me be surprise, they are extremely good, in fact excellent.
Those who know me on here know full well that I would never normally purchase a copy print but times have changed and I purchased these for three reasons.
Firstly because I love both images, along with Flying Copper, LITTA and the Rats I think these are the two most iconic images ever available for sale.
Secondly, I have become extremely disillusioned over the past few years, like many I used to buy Banksy work when it cost less than ยฃ150 for a signed edition and when they would be listed for months before being sold out. Since Toxic Mary sold out I have been successful once in securing a colour Trolleys, I missed out on every raffle and even in the queing process. I wanted a signed LN and was offered an 'A/P' by POW for ยฃ10k, WTF is that all about? Its from an edition of 67 A/P's, it's identical in coloring to the standard run and available nearly 8 yrs after the original prints sold out!!! How can that be called an A/P???
Thirdly, I can happily hang this on my office wall without fear of it being nicked, the frame is worth more than the print, perhaps I should get that insured!!??
To be honest I am not proud about the fact that I bought them, and I had a long chat with a forum member on the phone yesterday getting his opinion about it (thanks for the councelling) but ultimately Banksy openly promotes breaking copyright law so I don't really feel like I have cheated him in any way at all. I remain interested to see if his management take any action against the individual, I assume they won't for fear of looking totally ridiculous!
One last thing, whilst it is nice to have the image on my wall now, it just doesn't give me the buzz that owning a genuine Banksy does!! For that you need to have a lot of money, be lucky in a raffle or be prepared to fight off flippers, gangsters and rapists whilst POW lie in the warmth of their beds!!
I await your written condemnation!!

Art Wanted, by mojjac on Aug 17, 2011 16:18:13 GMT 1, No condemnation from me PUD. I feel very similar to you but I must admit that for years that I wanted a signed Banksy and when I finally won the chance to buy the very little helps print i found that when I got it that it was a great anti climax. Fortunately I only spent a few hundred pounds on it, I think it was ยฃ458. If I had spent thousands on it I really would have felt buyers remorse. I was then concerned about having it framed and on the wall because of its nickable value. I therefore chose to sell it when the prices were low but at least I had a nice holiday thanks to Banksy. For me they are only pictures to enjoy, I dont buy into all that Banksy political crap and no doubt if I were to meet him he would think I was a p*ick and I quite likely would think that he is a lefty t**t. I do however like his pictures so if I can have exactly the same picture for fifty quid and save the best part of ยฃ1500 or more then I am a very happy fool.

Art Wanted, by hunter007 on Aug 17, 2011 16:42:07 GMT 1, Is 50 quid not allot to spend and then blue tac it to the wall??
As for the buzz you get owning an original Banksy, pretty sure this is partly down to there value whether you think it or not, today's society promotes consumerism and doing well in life equates to having money. knowing you have something on your wall worth 2k has give to give a boost in your man hood, like having a fancy sports car
