For sale is my Pøbel "Bunad". This is the 40x70 "small" version. I bought it directly from ABC and it's been stored flat in a plan chest since it arrived. It is as mint as expected and will come in the original ABC tube.
Here's a stock image, but if anyone wants photos of the actual piece then I'll be happy to sort them out.
I know I have chatted to a couple of members about selling this before but it's got to go this time.

Or are you merely implying that being freed from the evil danish empire in 1814 and given to the swedes is why the norwegians are celebrating? Correct me if I'm wrong - just curious here. |

The Constitution of Norway was signed at Eidsvoll on May 17 in the year 1814. The constitution declared Norway to be an independent kingdom in an attempt to avoid being ceded to Sweden after Denmark–Norway's devastating defeat in the Napoleonic Wars.

Technically everyone is right. Unless you are Norwegian, I doubt anyone would really understand what Constitution Day would mean and it just sounds silly. Fun fact: Norway and Sweden was formally at truce until some years after year 2000 until someone discovered that the final peace treaty was not formally signed.

Norway did declare independence but Sweden refused. This led to a war where both parties quickly realized that they could not sustain a war and a union was negotiated. Norway accepted Swedens king as King of Norway and Sweden controlled both countries foreign policy. First in 7 June 1905 Norway finally declared independence and on 26th. of October the same year Sweden accepted this, thus the union was formally dissolved that day. So on 17th of May Norway celebrates its constitution, an important step to become an independent state. Still waiting for my Ice Ice Baby - been going through customs in Coventry for the last 2 days by the look of things. Heading to Cornwall for the week tonight - will hopefully be waiting for me on my return.
Really looking forward to getting this.

Don't understand the tax charges at all - Ive had three from Norway recently and paid the following:
1. BOT - £35
2. Dolk - £0
3. Pobel - £25
All three have had values on the outside - the Pobel had just £50, the Dolk £350 and the BOT £90.
Totally random charging. 
Rant over.
Finally arrived , Held in customs for ages! And charged 20% as usual Nice finish to the prints They are lovely - dropped mine at the framer today. Going with a black box frame.
