Dont know if its an indicator - but seller have sold over 1000 items with 98,5% rating.

I noticed his explanation about why they claimed all pieces like this for fake. I support that decision, dont want crazy ppl going around tearing down walls over paintings on walls or items.

They (pictureplaneturbanart) bought it under the name cascadeleisure from wii-london 17 jan 2009 for £132.

There's been at least three different "Pedestrians" signs on Ebay that has been altered to "Pests" with an added Banksy stencil.

And of course it's 100% fake.

I asked this guy where he got it. He said his father had bought it years ago at a JP Morgan auction for 800 GBP. Then the guy listed it at 300, then 200 and now 100. He has a nice ebayer score but when you check why, it's for 99p Banksy cards, PICTURE-PHOTO MOUNT BAGS CRYSTAL CLEAR, mount backing boards and frames LOL There are 2 bids I bet he will trap two naive buyers... amazing.

Id ask him for the :

* Year it was collected then check when the "Roller Rat" stencil started popping up. Check on FlickR ... other older Banksy galleries. Most images will be dated when they were submitted.

* Address where the sign was taken .. then try to find an image of the sign or "even better the stenciled sign" at that location. You can do this thru business listings or typing addresses into google images.

... If you can find those your on a winner.

"Worked for me" I have a Gangsta Rat from a newsagent storage bin. The lad actually bought and replaced the bin from the newsagent. I later asked him the address and found an old picture of the business on Tower Bridge road with the actual bin that was stenciled out the front. The rat still had the white corner of the Loot poster on it.

Read the descriptions on both. They clear themselves of selling a fake. So if people buy it no comeback as they have been told.

I'm looking to sell my unsigned Welcome to Hell print by Banksy with full provenance from Pest Control. It has also been professionally framed with UV glass by Lawrence Alkin of Art Republic, Brighton.
