Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by rabbitlegs on Jul 20, 2007 20:34:28 GMT 1, mmm...Not sure about posting Hi-Res piccys?
Call me cynical but I think they are open to abuse!
Perhaps a watermark would be good?
What do you folks think?

Excellent idea. I might start a blindstamping service via the internet, I'd guess the most popular request will be the ol' POW classic bottom left. We'll soon get the prices of those Banksys on Ebay right down.

Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by alvington89 on Jan 31, 2008 17:52:11 GMT 1, For a long time the 'Rat' series (with the exception of the 'Radar Rat' of course) has not really been that highly regarded when compared to the other Banksy POW editions around that time. Now it seems that suddenly they are receiving the recognition they deserve and are becoming much more desirable.
Any one got any opinions as to why?

Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by jonpud on Jan 31, 2008 18:38:05 GMT 1, Basically, the rats and the smiling copper ARE Banksy! They might be his 'simplest' prints but when all said and done I think they are THE image that instantly associates him with his street work!

Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by medicjones on Jan 31, 2008 18:44:10 GMT 1, Its bizarre. For some reason - even Ive now got the ursge to get some rats having never really liked them in the past. Now I think they're awesome. Ive kind of got that 'Print OCD' thought. Its either all of them or none. Aaaargh!

Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by colonelkurtz on Jan 31, 2008 21:40:23 GMT 1, think it hails back to the time of heavy weaponary and bar code, when Banksy was born and all of a sudden there were rats doing the most bizarre things.
At the time though, i don't think art lovers wanted to put a rat on the wall...
now it's more about being a classic banksy!

Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by goffy on Feb 1, 2008 1:00:13 GMT 1, I love my Gangsta Rat, and so does my wife. I wish I could have had a print of the Rat with the paint roller who had just painted a heart, like the one on the door in Liverpool. Speaking of Liverpool. they have taken the frame down from around the big Rat/Cat on the Whitehouse Pub. Hope this is a good sign. Maybe someone told the City Council what Culture means.

Banksy Welcome To Hell Print, by Ågent ßacardi on Feb 1, 2008 1:12:26 GMT 1, Yep, Rats are very iconically Banksy. I'm glad they're finally getting the recognition they deserve. A year ago, I wanted to own a few pieces that were just classic Banksys, and I chose the "Because I'm worthless" rat, Have a Nice Day, and Bomb Hugger. Luckily the rats were still relatively unpopular at that time, and I got one on eBay for only £325. An even greater bargain was a Have a Nice Day for only £825!

Because they have all been removed from the street.
