Very cool release. Longtime Barry Mcgee fan. Impressive to see them placed around the world for people to view in advance of the release. Would genuinely be helpful if NYC was on that list.

If the pieces are printed and framed in the UK it is a shame they can not be assembled (ie sticker added) and sent from here. Feels odd to then send them back to your offices, to then send (some) back to the UK?

Also, duty is charged on items entering the UK. I have been previously charged on AA pieces I have bought. This new McGee release will incur 20% fees on arrival in the UK. 
The HF edition might possibly reduce to 5% after a few emails and calls to HMRC Customs etc.

True the editions are printed in the UK but final QC, framing, stickering and boxing does happen in The Netherlands. We don't have a warehouse in the UK and we are a Dutch company after all.

You might have been charged previously before we had this current scheme but as mentioned above the UK duty tax is now included with the shipping fee. I think what you are referring to is the VAT which yes you have to pay. But you would need to pay some form of VAT if you bought in the UK too. Dutch collectors who buy from us also have to pay tax over their artworks to the Dutch tax authorities.

For non hand-finished I believe the rate should also be 5%, so please do consult our team ([e-mail]) to check for your specific situation. We have seen before that people were wrongly charged and whenever that does happen we'll always talk to courier and customs on your behalf to get the right rate assigned.

it doesn’t make sense for UK orders to be sent back to Europe 
and then sent back to the uk

Ah, thanks! I checked that thread earlier today, but didn't see it. It definitely seems like a great buy. I haven't bought art in a while but couldn't help myself. I actually like this image better than the AA one also. Surprised it's not sold out.

What is the thought process behind having a signature on a sticker?

Yeah, I don't get that one unless it is a USPS or "Hello My Name Is" graffiti slap type sticker? He's hand finishing a portion of them once the edition sizes are settled so why not just sign them all on the front at the same time? 

For the record, I've never been a fan of Damien Hirst's trend of siging stickers for all of his recent prints either. It means the artist never even comes close to interacting with your actual piece of art. Plus you can't see it once framed, plus will stickers age as well as the actual print over the years?

B!tching aside, I still love the print and will likely be grabbing a HF edition.

I don't think there is a difference other than the smaller edition size, AP marking, and price. I went with the regular. I usually only try for APs if they're different/embellished or the same price.

I'm wondering why people are saying this is a great print. To me it looks like 1970s wallpaper with a terrible drawing on it.
