Marilyn (Green Version) - by Nick Smith

Nick recreates classic art works using ‘Pantone’ swatch books to add a contemporary (and pixelated) twist, it was these original works (over 3 years ago) that caught our eye and we have kept Nick on radar ever since.
This print is the product of months of development and if you look closely you will notice the quirky way the ‘boring’ reference numbers have been substituted for something a little more interesting.

Giclee print with hand pulled silkscreen spot varnish.

Printed on 280gsm 100% super smooth paper stock.

50x50cm (20”x20”)

Signed, numbered and embossed.

Edition of 50

yeah, Nick is a member. i remember seeing his work in the 'Kin' store in carnaby street about three years ago.... i was tempted by the original back then, but these prints are developed, the words really add a bit of fun to the print.

I like these, was it yourself who sold similar works via ryca's square d gallery a few years ago?

I regret not buying a Marilyn piece back then and now the site seems to have gone to dub dub dub heaven.
