delete, by Prints Charles on May 20, 2016 14:25:16 GMT 1, It's his first wall though, cut him some slack haha. It's his first wall off the back of duping everyone about the quality of his street work. Urban Nation must be pissed after flying to Belfast to meet him and then flying him to Berlin.. jeez. Hope he can put it behind him and crack on with his studio work now.
Yeah that's been one of the strangest things about this for me.
Bet he couldn't believe his luck when some poorly photoshopped mock ups got him a gig at Urban Nation

delete, by tmccarthy41 on May 20, 2016 15:12:43 GMT 1, After following this thread & reading through it (without commentary), I felt compelled to share my experience with the artist as I've been working with him to have a painting finished.
I reached out to Ted after seeing this incredible piece of work posted by a member of our forum a few months ago (3/4 of the way down the page): urbanartassociation.com/thread/69634/show-latest-art-buy?page=976
Ted sent me a catalogue of his (then available) work, of which I decided to pull the trigger on "untitled #6", but asked if he would make a few changes to the work and allow me to make payments on the cost over a period of time.
Here's a series of photos taken over a months time showing the progress of the work:
from catalogue:
![](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w80/tmccarthy41/TP%201_zpsz7kbf2r1.jpg)
Added blue to eye & more "action" in the lower portion of the canvas
![](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w80/tmccarthy41/TP%202_zpspehoyxs7.jpg)
face detail:
![](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w80/tmccarthy41/TP%203_zpspsfjkcry.jpg)
95% complete (it's a massive canvas)
![](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w80/tmccarthy41/TP%204_zpscpmmv3ci.jpg)
Ted has been an excellent artist to deal with, very quick to reply to my emails, and has been extremely understanding regarding payment of the piece. Call him whatever name you want, he's a talented artist and (from my dealing with him) a gentleman.

delete, by Poly Mindset on May 20, 2016 16:45:21 GMT 1, But to paint a face well with oil paint and a brush is the difference between Ted Pim and many other artist. Let's face it, stencils and spray paint doesn't require the same level of skill as oil or acrylic applied with a brush on canvas or wood or any other surface.

From SAN:
Meet Ted Pim, a 28-year-old street artist born in Belfast who has travelled the world painting inside abandoned buildings. The Irish artist spent the last 6 years painting baroque-inspired murals in dark spaces across the United States and Europe in Atlanta, Sevilla, London and Belfast.

Don't want to go over old ground but he hasn't though has he? They're all photoshopped mock ups.
So I'm not sure if I was being sarcastic or not as it really was his first wall

But now he is officially a street artist.
Dude should have stuck with the all black background.

delete, by thomasmer on May 23, 2016 4:56:49 GMT 1, I'm not sure what I laughed harder at Ploppi saying 'anyone can paint a face' after seeing his new print, or that abortion that Ted 'shit at photoshop' Pim smashed out at Urban Nation.
Guess its what happens when you flit around playing clipboard urban art.
Still laughing so hard, this ones not getting forgotten.

delete, by avec art on Jul 26, 2019 11:22:53 GMT 1, what? no I can't. I have no idea. I think what I wrote was misleading. I like how it looks is all I meant to say. But did he actually paint the underlying painting which now drips ... I'm not sure. If he did then that's a lot of work and great skill, however if he's just made it drip ... well it still looks good, but is less impressive for me.
