I always wonder what percentage of people complaining about missing a drop because of "flippers" are just upset they missed the opportunity to flip. Obviously no-one on this forum though cos were all art lovers here

lulz. this print is super exciting that we have to talk about a Miaz Brothers print release. Really still scratching my head how a lot of people missed out on this release despite having an edition size close to 300. How many prints is that gallery holding back to re-sell in the future at flipper prices? This is one of the shadiest releases I have ever seen.

Too true it's always about the profit, great seeing people get burned though when they can't flip a print.. Check eBay there's so much shit for sale on there which sold out pretty quickly after hype on here.. lets see how many of these we see framed..

Hi Gatecrasher, I'm new to the Urban Art Association but I am just wondering what you mean when you say flippers? I would have loved a print buy the street artist known as Eelus for my kids room but I sadly missed out due to 4G connection on my telephone.

Flippers are usually considered as buyers who buy purely to re-sell quickly for a profit or to put away in the hope that art work will rise in value and then sell it.

I think most of us have at least some hope that what we buy will increase in value though, so I suppose it's the buying with no intention to frame up that defines the long term flipper.  It makes me think of some sales threads on here .. "Absolutely gutted to let one of my favourite pieces go .. bought from new .. been stored in a hermetically sealed container for the last 4 years .. "

But I've bought and sold prints I thought I would love but didn't so I'm not getting on my soap box to preach.

I remember buying a print (but not which one) on my phone as I was carrying a canoe down the shore to Kielder Water.  I think the other 3 people with me realised I was slacking as I mashed the screen trying to get through Paypal

Fairplay to Eelus since his stellar show at Electrik Sheep in 2008 he has produced IMO some absolute dross. But does come out with the occasional nugget now and again so cash in while he can.

I remember I bought Raven Haired back then and couldn't believe that it did sell out instantly!

Was available for ages after. If it had a POW stamp people back then would have gone properly mental for it.

This one is a handy 70x50 size, so no excuse to get a white box frame habitat job and up on a wall.

I am very surprised the prices have gone up so quickly. I thought, like with ATR, there would have been more than enough PPs from AR to go around for everybody that wanted one....?

I don't think there are that many PPs around given that they sold out quicker than the regular edition.

True, took atr a good 2 years to break the psychological barrier that is £1k. On another note, just learnt that a fren bought a standard neisbw for a cool £3.2k wondering if that is expected in the market today??

It's a little naive to think the number of PPs this time round will be the same as ATR's - those pps are released to cover the cost of the shipping fiasco if I remember correctly. It's not going to be the same case here unless AR screws up the shipping too?

HF been flipped by US seller.... Disgusting only 10 available and 1 up already..... Surely not many were bought by US customers.... It wouldn't take much digging to know who the seller is..... And ultimately not send the print out to them in the first place.

Hi everyone, it's worth checking your bank accounts as mine has been debited today with costs for eelus even though I didn't get email confirmation yesterday and couldn't get through checkout process.

I just phoned AR and I have secured a print

They said everyone should receive emails today to confirm if they have a print
