D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by Deleted on Aug 9, 2016 17:49:14 GMT 1, I personally would say circa 850 - 900 for no joke and 1100 + for sweet nothings. Both rare and almost impossible to find and I would say 2 of some of his most desired pieces. Having just sourced these myself these are current market in my mind.

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by --> HowardJohnson on Aug 18, 2016 17:23:58 GMT 1, Any ideas on current value of DSTQ in Gold/bronze ?
I'd say this edition ranges from $1500-$2500 with the gold probably near the higher end.

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by fattyramone on Aug 22, 2016 15:59:50 GMT 1, Can anyone give me some idea of the desirability/value of something like this ?
Spray paint (stencil) on wood
This was originally sprayed onto a 6ftx4ft particle board for the Dface "Love and Hate" show in 2012.......
One of the images shown was copied and pasted from DFace's website until very recently when he updated it.
The other images are photos that I've taken today to show that the wood particles match exactly that of the uploaded image to show it's originality....it's not signed or nothing but I'm 99.9% convinced of its pedigree due to the matching wood "grain".
As you can see I had it cut down to a much more manageable size approx 18 inch x 16 inch from 6 ft x 4 ft for ease of transportation.....nothing else was on the discarded wood.
I was offered it about 4 years ago as a bonus buy after buying something or other from a seller on EBay, as it was to be discarded after the show had finished.

And this is a screen grab from his website ....

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by fattyramone on Aug 22, 2016 19:52:29 GMT 1, Hi mate , I've absolutely no idea ? ....that's why I was trying to garner some critical feedback on it by introducing it into this thread.
I know it's not your classic "Lichenstein-esque" imagery that people have come to associate with Dface , but on the other hand it's certainly one of kind from him , and a documented one too.

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by --> HowardJohnson on Aug 22, 2016 21:41:08 GMT 1, That wood piece would be considered promotional material and thus I imagine would not garner a huge price on the aftermarket. That combined with the fact it's probably crazy expensive to ship and frame, I would expect someone would pay $200-$500 dollars for it. You may be able to get up to $1000 if you can confirm the authenticity/Provonence but I wouldn't expect a huge return. Good luck!

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by fattyramone on Aug 22, 2016 22:10:20 GMT 1, Hi Christoff ....thanks for your input on the matter , in regards it's size and weight for postage , to be honest it's not an awful lot bigger nor heavier than a double/triple LP (16x18 as apposed to 12x12)....so I would guess £30(?) max to the USA.
I'm not regarding this as a long-lost Urban art masterpiece and expecting it to be worth thousands but I would argue the case that for a Dface/urban art collector it has it's place as an artefact in his growth as an artist , wether or not his place in urban art history gets cemented is for the future to decide.(?)
As for its authenticity , once you get your eye in on any particular spot on the piece that was published on his website you can see the wood particles match exactly on the piece I've got , so there's no question there really...
Anyway , thank you for your thought-out contribution .
Cheers.

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by --> HowardJohnson on Aug 22, 2016 22:35:37 GMT 1, Your welcome. For some reason I saw the 6' x 4' comment and didn't realize that it was cut down. Its small and pretty cool. I'd throw it up here for 500 OBO and see if anyones interested. Plus, you could always package it with another D*face and pay it forward like the seller that originally sold it to you. Take care!

If you're referring to the last one to sell on eBay, it didn't sell for £800, it sold for £600 Best Offer, and was nicely framed. Nice try, Lofty.

I'd say Chris is spot on.
There's a No More Heroes on eBay right now at £360 but the bid history suggests it's been shilled to that level.

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by --> HowardJohnson on Sept 21, 2016 23:15:15 GMT 1,
Hell yeah, art fight! Turning now to more productive input, I'd say your chances of an eBay or forum sale are in the range I quoted. D*face's prices are incredibly weird, a popular print will sell for a couple grand and the next month only a couple hundred. The canvas on eBay have also been going super low latley. That being said, I know for a fact that galleries and auction houses are able to move his work at 2-3 times what it's selling for on eBay/forums.
My two cents is that his work is strong enough to dictate prices comparable to the more expensive urban artists (invader, Kaws, ect), which explains the high auction/gallery sales, but savvy collectors don't quite see a huge investment value in his work, hence the lower eBay/forum sales.
If your looking to sell a D*face my advice is to be patient and wait for a good cosignment opportunity to arise.

Well said and I agree a good point about dface and back to the point at hand.

Both are framed. Last no more heroes that I saw sell was for £800 Around 8 months ago, one sold by bidding for 460gbp. The More Punk than You in Pink has been sold for 400gbp (framed and shipped) on eBay too.
First one I remember because I wanted to give tops 450gbp for it and the latter one because I bought the yellow from the buyer for the same amount :-)
And yeah, I don't get dFace prices. At all. No Joke has been unsold for ages on eBay, pops up on the boards and gets sold in a heartbeat. Also the PopEye Con print has been relisted for ages at 400usd and seems to stay unsold.
