Anyone care to enlighten me? Thank you Very rare print, but the D*face secondary market seems to be on a bit of a slide. I'd say around 1k gbp depending on the buyer.

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by rebelate on Apr 27, 2015 4:05:20 GMT 1, Looking to help fund my next Banksy so may let this go depending on what I can fetch for it.
Any help on valuation would be greatly appreciated.
D*Face Black and White Pop Tart Edition of 10, Signed and Numbered. Never sold to public. Framed by Framing Devil The following description is what I got from D*Face himself on it... I ran them off from a screen I made to produce a canvas, so it’s different in scale to the print release, on different stock, oh and printed by me. I can’t remember the year, but I'd say 2009/2010."

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by --> HowardJohnson on May 24, 2015 20:38:26 GMT 1, Anyone know the current price of a green-eared DSTQ print? DSTQ seem to be going between $1500 - $2000 depending on the color. If my memory serves, green is one of the less desirable colors so I would estimate on the lower end of that scale.

Expect to spend 1,300 GBP (2k USD) for one in mint condition. I started pursuing this one about a year ago and missed out on two at this price, and finally bought the third one I found. All were priced at or slightly above 1,300 GBP + shipping.

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by pippyt75 on May 31, 2015 0:06:56 GMT 1, Thanks very much. Funnily enough that's exactly the price I've been offered one at. Think I'll go for it. To me it's the stand out Dface and a bit of a classic.

I actually just picked up one of the first run black stamp warhol marilyns to frame side by side with it. Good luck on your transaction!

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by pippyt75 on May 31, 2015 22:20:42 GMT 1, That's a very cool idea! Maybe a Banksy Kate Moss to complete the set if you win the lottery!? Agree on Pop Tart - I think it's a classic street art piece in general even beyond being a classic DFace.

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by --> HowardJohnson on Jun 1, 2015 0:08:26 GMT 1, Haha that will be the day. I used to have the Shepard fairey homage and I kinda regret selling it now. Personally, I think pop tart is the best of the three. The shep one is a spot on homage in the sense that he expands on warhols repetition tactic in new and interesting ways, but it's one ugly mother to have on your wall lol. The banksy is great as well, but the image isn't good enough to justify the price in my opinion. It's funny how the Marilyn homages are the "holy grails" of these three artists, really speaks to the lasting impact of warhol on art in general.

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by pippyt75 on Jun 1, 2015 22:11:19 GMT 1, Totally agree on pop tart being the best of the three if you go purely on image. Dface has 2 big exhibitions this year so be interesting to see if that puts a spring in the market. Though kind of doesn't matter - great image regardless. I'm hopefully going to the one in Malaga so will post some photos. Cheers.

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by --> HowardJohnson on Jun 30, 2015 18:56:10 GMT 1, Yeah I'd second that price on the A-hole, maybe 600$ on eBay. I'd put the GNF at around $1500, it's a classic piece and one of his most desirable multiples.

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by matt on Jun 30, 2015 23:59:10 GMT 1, Thanks both --> HowardJohnson and inknart for your input
The framing on the A-Hole is quite elaborate and worth a few pounds in itself so probably reason enough to keep it.
Will see about GNF if I can live without it on the wall !

Hi there I actually own the D*Face oil screen print on 40cm diameter metal disk entitled "The Unloved" see the linked pic lower right. The artwork is an ed. Of 5/5, all represented in the image, so basically each of this metal disk are unique! Hand signed and numbered comes with COA released by Stolenspace Gallery, London. The print was released last September during one of the most acclaimed exhibition of D*Face in LA.
Members could you tell which is the right price for this? I was thinking to sell it, it doesn't match with my collection unfortunately. This work is awesome!
Best to all

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by wacky on Nov 11, 2015 15:07:37 GMT 1, Hi Guys,
What would a pair of 'pop tarts' yellow and dark green be going for now?
Would it make a difference if the numbers were different or matching?
And how about a 'death and glory' and 'che' print
Thanks

Off the top of my head...
Pop tart yellow - $2500 Pop tart green - $2750 If matching numbers maybe a slight premium on those numbers and if not maybe a slight discount for the set.
Death/glory - $800 - $1000
Cli Che - $800 - $1000

There are PopTarts not selling at 1K GBP, a Cli Che on eBay since forever not selling at 900, in fact none of the Dface prints on eBay seem to be selling.
The only one that did what a Not So Superman started at 99p, ending around 300GBP
Maybe the market in US is stronger ?

Any ideas why the secondary market for deface is not doing so well... saturation perhaps or just that time of the year....

D*FACE Artwork, VALUATION, by matt on Dec 6, 2015 15:22:53 GMT 1, I guess time of year might not help, but Dface certainly has less interest lately. His show in Malaga didn't exactly generate a 50 page thread (but of course there was no flippable print so that also doesn't help here…)
He has become incredibly repetitive, although you could also argue that he is not alone. But his Lichtensteinesque stuff just appears increasingly mechanical and soulless I feel.
I find the old school stuff like A-Hole, Pop Tart, Fools Gold, Regina etc to be great works and they do not often pop up so I guess people are happy to hang on to them ?
But after GNW I think he went downhill with the same stuff over and over and over…I remember seeing the "death to those dogs" canvas at Moniker a year ago, priced over 20k GBP, and thought that wasn't a good sign as he was clearly taking the piss...
If he is enjoying what he is doing, good for him, but it won't help his market I'm afraid
