Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by Deleted on Jan 22, 2020 19:03:23 GMT 1, 25/30 without 40/50 with That’s where I’d think but hard to tell. It’s a fabulous print Out of interest, other than personal preference for the print, why would you value it almost double compared to the last signed edition of 500, Sale Ends V2?
Because it’s twice as good

A more realistic valuation for the seller would be £15,000-£20,000 without, and £25,000+ with Pest Control.

No it wouldn’t. That’s the bullshit pricing this forum tries to put out there to rip people off.
You wait for a COA and put this into Philips it’s going big. £40,000+fees minimum. Frankly if you don’t wait for the COA you’re a bloody idiot.

That’s a valuation based on the most recent comparable situation, if the seller or anyone wants to go with your valuation, they’ll be disappointed.
Just a bit of honest advice, have no interest in buying the print.

I don’t need your advice I can assure you of that. Let’s bet £100 on the first auction results of this print? I’ll say £40,000 or higher

I wasn’t giving you any advice. It was for the original poster. I’m not going to get drawn in to a pointless argument with someone on a forum and waste everyone’s time.

Don't think it will be that high. Most of Sale Ends V2 went to Banksy collectors. GDP stuff is mainly going out to everybody that thought they would have a free punt. 90% of lottery winners will be selling up as soon as Coa's are sent out.

Time will tell I guess. We all know some private deals will happen and sellers will get turned over. This is why I’m stating a global auction house. They will get a real value .

that's one phase of the many in the product's life. Not considering other variables, once those stages phase out(post COA "flood and draught") we will find the product in value brackets of 100k plus ..just my opinion.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by thecoolest on Jan 22, 2020 20:10:35 GMT 1, Hi. New here. My friend was lucky enough to be win a Banksquiat (grey print, I believe) from the GDP store and was looking to possibly sell it. I figured that this forum would be a goof place to get an accurate valuation on the piece. What would he get if he sold it now without COA? Sold it now with a COA from a 3rd party? Sold it in 2 years with an official COA? I told him that he probably should wait, but he is probably going to sell if the value doesn’t drastically increase. First question. Why did you join the forum to ask and not your friend who's selling?
Because he is not the smartest of the bunch. I think it’s safe to say that not everyone knows about this extremely niche forum.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by njbishop90 on Jan 22, 2020 22:14:38 GMT 1, Hi all, I'm new here and have recently taken delivery of my Duck and Cover piece from gdp. Can anyone recommend a place to get a valuation without the Coa, as this won't be sent out for two years. I'm not looking to sell, just trying to figure out insurance options. What do you think it might be worth? Thanks Nick

Nice one, i'd go for £50k. Obviously i have no evidence to back this up, based my guess on what other bits of his sell for
It really would be as much as someone wants to pay
You did well, enjoy it :-)

It’s very difficult to put a price on it, for insurance you’re going to need a qualified expert to pull a figure out of the air. Check your policy to verify who they will accept a valuation from and credentials required. If I were to guess without COA it’s probably worth £20-25k, saying that trying to replace one at that price will not be easy as most sellers will be waiting to get it certified before selling. It will go for probably over £40k once authenticated in my view.

keep it safe and don't damage it, that would be bad, very bad

I think boring is a tad harsh. I like it aesthetically and I like how it coincided with the closing of POW. I agree though, Banksquiat will probably be worth nearly double a Sale Ends in years to come, just not over £40k when they first go to auction. 500 in total across the full edition, these are going to be flooded across the auctions when the Coa's arrive.

Andy at Castle Gallery will, but is a Banksy 'expert' going to be any better at valuations than us lot🤔 I reckon he should set up one of those vote thread thingys here and find the average of all the answers.

I very much doubt that even 100 of the 500 went to complete randoms.
I think this print was for sale to VIP's even before GDP, but not for the 500 price tag...

I agree though, Banksquiat will probably be worth nearly double a Sale Ends in years to come, just not over £40k when they first go to auction. 500 in total across the full edition, these are going to be flooded across the auctions when the Coa's arrive. Even though random winners were selected for some, i'm sure it's certain that the majority of them will still go to VIP's, Friends/Fam ect. I very much doubt that even 100 of the 500 went to complete randoms. I think this print was for sale to VIP's even before GDP, but not for the 500 price tag...

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by njbishop90 on Jan 22, 2020 23:49:59 GMT 1, I’m not sure if they still do it but I’ve used hang up to provide a valuation in the past, you could try them.
Thanks, their website says that they require a COA, but I've reached out to ask if they might be able to provide a valuation with all of the emails from GDP instead
