Well I think Brexit and travel restrictions have an impact.
A £100K print would quickly add £25K i taxes, fees and shipping for me. And there's no way for me to pick it up in person or see it in real life before bidding.

I'm danish, so don't know if that's relevant to me. If you have to bring up old times, then you could say that travel restrictions doesn't apply to vikings ... nor price tags.

As an aside from the. Banksy sales I thought 2 of the Peter Blake’s did well (100 sources & sergeant pepper) and Hirst’s Valium was the biggest price I’ve seen.

Yeah I was surprised by the Valium price given the condition report said it had several hard creases in it. I like the image but most that have come up at auction recently seem to have had quite prominent creases. Guess they’re not ones people are dusting off from the depths of their plan chests or portfolios...

They clearly stated it has a coa
But now saying it’s pending

In other words the piece is eligible for one and PC will issue one.

It's already been authenticated. COA is pending. Bonhams check all Banksy's with PC before the auctions.

If it states 'accompanied' legally I don't think they would have a leg to stand on. If you want the print though, it might be worth trying for a big reduction in the buyers fees.

Dont fret. They will have applied for it prior to sale. Covid restrictions and crap postal services will be holding it up.

I would have not paid as much if it’s pending
Last auction I purchased no coa waited 11months
It’s hard to sell on with a coa pending
Feel if they say it’s got one one would assume they telling the truth

It's already been authenticated. COA is pending. Bonhams check all Banksy's with PC before the auctions.

It was more a suggestion to the buyer so they could personally get comfortable.

Get a lawyer to write them a letter, it's pretty straight forward and once they think you'll make a claim they'll fold.
