Nice to know (not much surf tho this weekend !) but the sale is in Bonhams Knightsbridge. The Bonhams shipping dept will probably tell you there is a mailboxes etc. close by who will ship a lot cheaper than in house art courier prices. |

Some prices look low with respect to estimates. Priced to entice.
Blek Le Rat Space Cowboy will sail past ยฃ3000/5000. I have been after this image for years and bid on the smaller edition of 10 canvas at Bonhams last Sept-11 which sold for ยฃ6250. This one is more than twice the size and an edition of 4.
If anyone on here owns one of these wants to sell at top estimate of ยฃ5k drop me a pm.

I don't believe I have ever seen one artist account for 22% of lots in any one sale (maybe thiebaud/de kooning or cornell at the allan stone estate sale but I doubt it). Even more strange if you consider what percentage of the sale he will account for in total sterling/dollar terms. Odd
edit: probably should think a bit before i post as there was that infamous Sotheby's Hirst sale a few years ago.

I didn't realise Mr B was doing the GWB image as recently as 2009 nor that PC issued COA's for such gifts

I don't think the Kate is too far out. The last one I recall seeing for sale on eBay reached around ยฃ25K.
