Share the STIK love!, by Wearology on Sept 17, 2016 16:22:53 GMT 1, I was having a discussion with a colleague about the popularity of street art in the US versus the rest of the world. I told him that there is actually a chart comparing street artists sales. I didn't realize the chart was made up but I do recall that they spelled Banksy as Bansky which was telling. As for Kunstrasen I didn't start anything I just offered my two pence worth on price, edition etc both publicly and by PM.

Custom made frame with standard glass, spacers and mount. Framers in wales! Really great quality...£50 delivered. I placed print myself and fastened/hung with hardware.

By shutting down his print releases while continually highlighting growing auction sales via his Facebook account, he's building up new levels of expectation for a future print. It wasn't long ago that he said a new print would be out this year, so here's hoping.

He is a master self promoter when you check his fb with lots of auction and price references, do other artists discussed here do it to that extent

I'm not keen either. Leaves a bad taste, is unnecessary, very un-street, and against his anti capitalist, socialist principles. In my opinion. I'm sure those following him on social media are aware of prices or don't care and just want to enjoy his free street work and the posters. Why highlight the auctions unless it's for a charitable cause, which isn't always the case.

Not that I have ever seen. I find it rather strange. Of course, it's completely up to him.

This is not a 'reaction', 'over', or otherwise, it is simply an opinion, which I'm entitled to. It shows I'm unbiased, as I have that little drawing, which I love, regardless. I understand you have several works, know stik personally, and regularly visit his studio. That informs your opinion and your vested interests. No one is pissing on anyone, so stop getting your knickers in a twist.

Expressing one negative opinion means that I have an axe to grind, when I've been nothing but positive about him overall? I don't think so. Again, because he did something 'nice', which I'm grateful for, means that should silence criticism? Bit scary when you get into that kind of thinking. You're a friend of his, have several works, you can't express an objective opinion by default I'm afraid.
Said what I've had to, I'm not getting into a slinging match.
