no, most of the POW Hewlett prints, such as Kid, M16 Assault Lolly, Big Spongefinger, and The Hick all had a pre-printed Jamie Hewlett 'signature' on them.

Some from the edition would then be hand signed by jamie, who would traditionally sign his name as just 'Hewll'.

Yep as above it's a printed sig a la some Banksy prints, with numbering in pencil. It's in the 50's of 500.

And yep it was a book shop I seem to remember!!

here is what she said: Unfortunately the shipping is over £300, plus I would need to have a shipping crate made because of the size, so it is not worth the cost to do the transaction

I see, cant see why it cannot be rolled and tubed though as its a print?, anyhow looks like there are still some prints available from Oxfam from that event.

i think the print is mounted somehow, that is why it would need a crate! idk. i was thinking rolled too, and prob would not cost too much to ship!

Limited edition Jamie Hewlett - Gorillaz print sets. Each hand numbered out of 2250

Sold as official merchandise from the 2006 NYC Apollo shows, the print sets were produced as an alternative to a gig programme. There are 4 prints on heavy textured card inside a hand numbered card sleeve with the band on the front and show details printed on the back.

Each print measures 24cm x 34cm

£25 including P&P to UK.
£35 including P&P to Anywhere else.

There was a framed 2D on eBay a few months (I think?) ago that went for around £150.

I would of thought these prints were about 750quid+ seeing as i payed 1k for noodle gob and 2D was about 400 about 3 years ago.

Ah yes, the listing in the middle is the signed (100 of 150), framed 2D that I was thinking about.
I think I didn't bid as the seller didn't answer messages about the frame quality but in hindsight, I wish I'd got it anyway at that price!

The 150/500 split is similar to the banksy runs Babyford, but thought you'd have twigged that since you've been about for a while.

As for hewlett stuff, its been struggling to hold any value for a long time, sounds like you bought at the peak, really doubt you'll see anywhere near that type of money back for those prints these days, the popular hewlett pieces like sponge finger, hick etc even signed dont get close to 1k, the gorillaz prints were not that popular. I have a few of the older Hewlett prints on my walls and will keep em there as they're worth more to me there than sold.

A good condition Kid print will still sell well, the others less so ( see windows and unsigned gorillaz for sale on POW 4 years after release when most other things from then have long sold out). I am a huge hewlett fan, lucky enough to have a nice original too, but the lack of new work, anything to maintain focus / interest has lead to a fan base that has generally moved on to newer / fresher things, leaving a few die hards behind, appreciating his work. At a guess £300-400 for the signed gorillaz on a good day. I tried to sell a full set of 5 signed stain glass windows for £1K about a year ago... not a sniff.

Would've been a good buy George, cost was about £900 for the set of signed. Lovely pieces but sadly unloved by many. Its worth keeping an eye out, some good hewlett bargains come up from time to time.
