having seen this custom framing job of Hewletts windows by ideabolo i must say i think they look amazing.

However im not a big fan of Hewletts gorrillaz stuff and would much preffered to have seen a tank girl style window!

my point is though how cool would it be for banksy to produce an unsigned set of windows like these in say an edition of 2000 with a mixture of all his past stencils!

It would indeed. I was really disappointed with seeing the Hewll windows in person at the ghetto. I was going to buy the whole set just before and I'm glad I didn't now - the framing job does look very cool though

Although the windows are great i think it would be a bit harsh if banksy stole the idea... because no doubt he would make more money out of it than Hewlett.

I must say though... that display is amazing.

Maybe it's just all the rich colours and segments, but Gilbert & George were doing this sort of stuff in the eighties.

There's not a lot that's new nowadays. Artists steal,borrow,plagiarize all the time. Just their spin on the same subject.

G&G have done some pretty funny vids themselves, I remember seeing 'Bend It' at the Tate many years ago, I'm going to check out YouTube for G&G vids.

Cauty seems to be copying ideas left right and centre. I know no one can be 100% original but Cauty doesn't seem to even try to be original these days. Mash some Hewlet windows with some banksy christ like anti comercialism and bingo... a new Cauty print.

Monkey looks pretty sweet, soon as i heard about it i thought id give it a go but then realised it were in manchester...

I watched the show last night and was really impressed with Jamies work on the project.

His characters looked really cool and it was great seeing him flip through his portfolio in his studio. It gave a real iea of just how much work goes into producing work to that standard.
If any of these get released as prints i'll be well up for some.

However, I don't really think Chinese opera is really my kind of thing, even though i fondly remember the TV series 1st time around, and the realisation of Jamie's images into costumes proved to be somewhat of a challenge, and he didn't look too pleased with the outcome himself.

Top marks for a great effort though...

I thought it was a great show, i love Damon- there's no other modern songwriter who could come up with the work he has.

Was great to see the portfolio as well- the images really spring to live and are so vibrant. The costumes would never live up to the designs but i think it still looked amazing- a lot better than any other opera/musical going
