Ian Francis X4 sold on the bay total £1754, by rydal on Nov 20, 2007 21:50:36 GMT 1, Although each print was sold separately if you had won each one the full set would have cost you £1,754 - a steal in my opinion and makes the £2,400 paid for a set a week or so ago look very expensive. There are some great bargains around a the moment!

Ian Francis X4 sold on the bay total £1754, by ABC on Nov 20, 2007 22:41:44 GMT 1, I agree, I think the market has fallen for the flippers, unless you get a Banksy of course. Even Micallef is taking a loss at the moment. Buyers market.

Ian Francis X4 sold on the bay total £1754, by craigf on Nov 20, 2007 23:23:55 GMT 1, I got one of the Laz prints for £875 this week a nice £300 saving over the price back in September. The guy even queued up all night for it! Not sure if bought to flip, but whatever the reason he paid £300 for it to sit in a tube for two months.

Ian Francis X4 sold on the bay total £1754, by brenclan on Nov 21, 2007 0:11:56 GMT 1, I picked up one of the Ian Francis prints this evening for a £60 premium. Delighted to see a return to reality on the secondary market. Goes a little way to making up for a crap week a few weeks ago when I missed out on these releases, trollies and an Obey original all in one week.
Still not certain of the idea of two naked ladies framed above my bed.. at least I'm single so no one will be hurt... self abuse aside

You aren't kidding! Some of the prices on Francis, Neate, Micallef, and even Banksy have been too low to resist over the past couple weeks... still looking for a few more lovely deals on my favorite prints. I believe the prices for the past month or so will seem like a distant memory in the spring when artists are doing new shows and putting out new work... and everyone has some spare cash to spend again!

Ian Francis X4 sold on the bay total £1754, by darjeeling on Nov 21, 2007 14:14:11 GMT 1, I don't know... at first the excuse was that people needed cash for summer vaca or were away, then back to school or some other excuses and then prices are low because people need cash for christmas....
We had the banksy hospital show, the micallef show, the Ian Francis show, etc. all provided a little buzz but all have seen prices come back to earth and then some.
On top of that I think what's happening here is the hype has played out. Market was over saturated by the overload of Banksy in pop culture. Banksy may be around forever but that kind of thing has a shelf span and may even have a negative backlash? Saying prices are bargains now just because prices were so stupidly high several months ago is only a half truth. Maybe only a quarter truth?

Ian Francis X4 sold on the bay total £1754, by Cocteau 101 on Nov 22, 2007 10:00:50 GMT 1, This will be a temporary blip imo, so if you are after something now is the time (even though it's near xmas) to dive in. I think everything will pick up in the spring.

Ian Francis X4 sold on the bay total £1754, by dave313perry on Nov 22, 2007 10:07:54 GMT 1, thier selection process didnt help - it allowed a select few who run multiple delivery addresses, multiple name, multiple e-mail addresses to get youve guessed it 'multiple sets - which you now see on ebay!!!
poor system - flippers are more on the ball than the average collector IMO

Ian Francis X4 sold on the bay total £1754, by brenclan on Nov 27, 2007 15:04:23 GMT 1, Wow.. just received my Ian Francis "two people in the snow" that I won off the bay and the detail is simply breathtaking. Would most certainly recommend.. though would prefer for you all to wait until I pick up another piece before you all start driving the price up again
Once my Nick Walker arrives I will have about 8 pieces on their way to MisterFrameMan so he better clear his schedule!

Ian Francis X4 sold on the bay total £1754, by veralynn on Nov 27, 2007 21:29:16 GMT 1, Hi, I own Amy Allen and also Two People Lose Track - Amy Allen is framed in matt white 1.5" box frame and looks stunning, for the Two People I've gone for Gloss White with a bevelled edge on the advice of my framer. There's so much colour in the image anything else might be a detraction - stunning images, stunning quality and no for the sceptics I'm not a seller!!!
