This thread can be used for general questions and comments as we move into the auction phase of the charity.

A question a lot of peoples have asked is whether their donation has been received yet. I have confirmed the ones that Verbal has given me to date and Verbal will update everyone else on the remainder.

Verbal will be posting the auctions on Ebay and I will be keeping the main thread updated with the results and highlights.

Once again thank you to everyone who has donated and thanks in advance for your bids.

Since christmas is coming up pretty fast and it may take some time to get through all the items I was wondering if there is long untill the auctions will be started!?
Many nice pieces people might be waiting for there too!!

Verbal is looking after the auction side on Ebay. I am waiting for him to tell me when they will start.

I am sure it will be soon and I know he plans to complete it over a 5 day period.

Hi Folks

Sorry for any confusion caused. This and the thread with the images of the donations are the only ones currently running.

Verbal is running the auction process on Ebay and he has yet to update me on receipts. I have tried to get updates. I am sure all is well.

I can tell you that Verbal plans to run all or the auctions over a 5 to 7 day period. I do not have the start dates yet as he has not given me them.

I have asked him to send me the details of the start dates along with the Ebay account he will be using so I can keep everyone informed.

The second I hear from Verbal the details I will post on this thread.

You know I am 100% straight (I have bought art from both of you). I think throughout this process I have demonstrated my intention to keep people informed.

I have worked tirelessly to do so.

I do not for one minute believe that Verbal (Chris) is dishonest either. The only thing he has been guilty of is not keeping me informed because he is busy at the moment. I am 100% confident he will provide all the necessary information fairly shortly.

Please do remember that this is a charity close to his own heart and it is this that gives me confidence that all is well.

We are just waiting on Verbal to give us the details on the start dates and ebay account of the auctions, and as soon as thats sorted we can let everyone know ;D This has all taken a bit longer than was first hoped, but I'm sure the reasoning behind it will become clear as things progress ;D

Oh, Harveyn, I have no worry whatsoever about the seriousness of it all, far from it ! The only question was : has my piece arrived ? I'm asking because 5 books i sent recently to the UK never arrived ! You had some strikes and we had some too and I guess, it perturbed things, so I'm a bit worried about that....

I sent my donation a couple of weeks ago Jef. I think verbal just hasn't had a chance to update Harveyn. No big deal and I am sure it will be sorted out soon. After all we all know where Verbal lives now

Chris is a top bloke and I too was a bit worried as my print donation was not logged as received yet. It took him about a week to get back to me and said he was quite busy.
I wouldn't give it another thought. And a big thanks again to Neil, Chris and all involved for all they are doing !

I am away from the 6th til the 15th Dec, It maybe that this starts /finishes when I am away and I will miss this charity auction, which is a big shame for me

Any ideas how i could bid in advance for some of these lovely pieces ??

Good news (I hope). Verbal contacted me today and stated that the auctions would start this week. I think he will also try and complete them over a 5 to 7 day period. So hopefully you should get to bid on some.

Also you could set up bids on one of the snipe websites for any that will complete when you are away. I am also sure some forum members would be willing to help.

All, both myself and Silky have been trying to contact Verbal about when the auctions will start for a number of weeks. We hope to have some news within days.

Once again I thank each and everyone of you for your donations and your patience. I am sure we will soon get an explanation for the delay and a solid commit to when the auctions will start.

Please do remember the reason Verbal started this process and his families circumstances. This is a fabulous cause and one we should all be proud of, for trying to help.

I had a chat with Verbal on the phone this morning about the delays and he says he is having a few problems setting up a special ebay account for the auctions but will put up some pieces on today using his own account instead ;D Anyone know his ebay name?

Lets wait until this evening and by then I am sure Verbal will have contacted me with all the necessary details. Hopefully once some initial momentum is gained things will progress at pace.
